Can freshmen/transfer go on this trip? I feel like we've had players have to sit out these trips before.
Season tix holders should get to go for the rough season we just sat thru
   At the very least.

McCall said that we'll have 3 games on the USVI trip, but no other details.

Still nothing on the Virgin Islands trip? Not going to be easy getting reservations if you have no idea where or when.

Found a story about Vanderbilt going to USVI in 2017 instead of Italy and it centered on potential passport issues for some players, one of whom was Djery Baptiste!

Stadium compiled a list of all foreign trips, and we're showing to start on 8/19. That's just two weeks away. Not to have any information announced at this point is getting bizarre.

I know not many fans would go to this, but I was considering it. I went down to The Bahamas in 2006 when they did that trip. But now with just two weeks to go, and no details, highly unlikely.

Is/was anyone else thinking about going?

Back to the announcement, I looked back at 2015 when we went to Paris & London. First game was 8/19, and UM didn't publicize anything officially until 8/5. Court Club was involved then. Any Court Clubbers here?

Italy is a popular place to go. 22 teams headed there.

Media relations is operating with a skeleton crew. The department eliminated one position recently, rolling supervisory duties into another administrator’s job. Another staffer just left for another school. Perhaps there are SIDs on vacation.

You'd be shockingly surprised at how little time it should take to generate a press release based on their itinerary, which has probably been set for weeks/months!

The Department is staying active on social media. Hell, how many strongman videos have we seen over the last few weeks?

Skip producing one of those and you've got plenty of time to get the word out about the VI trip.

^ They may be purposely trying to keep further details of the trip under wraps... or perhaps they're waiting until everything is finalized. I believe sometimes on these foreign trips all of the opponents aren't finalized until the last minute.

I think I’m remembering it right that for the Bahamas trip they really scrambled to get opposing teams together.
