Big fan of the match-up. We are very very likely to lose, however, the experience we can gather from playing such an all-around well coached team like Virginia, should be character building for the team.

If we can respond to the guaranteed thorough drubbing and possible humiliation the same way Virginia responded to their first round loss in 2018, then, yes, it will be a character builder.

I would think that having the national champions on the schedule is a draw for recruits.

Nice perk but don't think it tips the scales. It's Virginia and they'll be a completely different team. It's not Duke or Kentucky and it's a one off. I think us as fans are more excited than potential recruits.

I went to the 1991 Vermont game in Burlington. A high school like gym, but they are a good program and one we should try to schedule yearly. Very Very cold. That particular night was about as cold a wind chill that I have ever experienced.

I’m not sure we will get smacked as badly by UVA as some of you are assuming. Don’t get me wrong, we will almost certainly lose by double digits, but they’ll be in a rebuild themselves. Kyle Guy, Ty Jerome, and DeAndre Hunter are all out of there.

^ But their rebuild is ranked a bit higher than ours (27 to 44), for what it's worth. A difference of 17 might be the spread for the game too.

Mohegan will also host games for the mid-majors:
Central Connecticut will face Vermont
Rider will play Columbia
...per Rothstein https://twitter.com/JonRothstein/status ... 4127179781

Last year, those first games were on Friday night.
The Friday losers played a consolation game on Saturday night, well after the majors play their double-header.
The Friday winners played on Sunday morning, before the major games.

UM created a couple of Facebook events for the games at Mohegan

They listed event times, but no clarity on exactly which games start when. If/when someone sees more detail, please mention it here.

I plan on getting my tickets for the Mohegan tournament today. Does anyone know where the UMass sections are?
