Would Raushaun Freeman be a decent comparison? It has been a while.

I like Tre's game. Seems quite ambidextrous.

When I watch videos of Tre, he reminds me of Mo Alie-Cox, but with much better offensive skills.
To me Mo was like a more aggressive Khalea. I don’t know who a good comp for Tre would be yet since I’ve only seen five-minute highlight vids, but I’m hoping for a slightly more post-oriented Grant Golden.

I have no idea who to compare him to since I’ve only watched a few minutes of highlights. I will say one thing that has me excited is that in every picture I see of him he seems to be in increasingly better shape — something that sounds like it started at Woodstock.

I think he will be able to score a bit in the post and rebound the ball. My hopes for him on offense are that his passing and outside shooting are as advertised because that could really open things up on that end. My hopes for him on defense are that he is able to keep up with the speed of the game — I know his teams played fast at Woodstock, I’m just talking in terms of quality of athletes — and that foul trouble doesn’t limit him.

His game reminds me quite a bit of TJ Cline who won the POY while at Richmond
There are some differences between the two, but this is the best comp I can think of for Tre.

^ Trying not to dig myself a bigger hole than I already did but what the heck. I knew I was thinking of a VCU player for my comparison. It was Justin Tillman, not Mo. Tre is a little bigger than Tillman and you are right when you say there is no exact comp for him but Tillman is closer than Tre. Just clarifying for the record.

I think it is a good sign that the kid's mix of skills is such that we are struggling to find a similar player in our memory banks.

LOL, I think that's still a pretty bad comp. I believe Tre's passing and shooting ability are much more in-line with TJ Cline.

Not an a-10 comparison but tre game seems to mirror all horford a lot and perhaps a little boogie cousins. Good pass can stretch the floor can back you down but also face you up and go by you

^ Spot on once again. I can't find fault with any of that, although you didn't list height among his many attributes so I'll do it for you.

Height: Yao Ming

Thought some of these comparisons were crazy. Just to throw a little cold water on the parade, he reminds me a lot of Ajmal Basit. Basit problems were mental but he wasnt an elite athlete to match the hype.

Good soft hands. Great touch around rim. Hi basketball IQ. Good passer. But wasnt able to elevate much and didnt raw power.

Not worried about Tres skills but curious to see how he matches up against dominat athletes.

Oh I forgot:

The grace of David Robinson
The power of Shaq

And he’s still young, but maybe the mustache of Paul Mokeski in a year or two.

OK, I'll stop now. At least it sparked some good discussion on our future A10 star player.
