KAEO: Tre Mitchell
Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
I think Tre has equivalent "heart" to Lasme. He's not demonstrative but he plays hard and never gives up.

Should easily be A10 Rookie of the Year and A10 Second Team. It's possible he sneaks onto the First Team, but I am not expecting that.

100% agree. easily the A10 rookie of the year. no doubt but he also has relevance on 1st or 2nd team. Every A10 game he is better than the guy guarding hi. Even out stated Toppin . Tre is a once in a decade player that if the other guys can find their roles and play within themselves Umass will be a relevant teamInnervisionsUMASS wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 8:38 am Should easily be A10 Rookie of the Year and A10 Second Team. Half way to 1,000 points. Quarter way to 2,000.

It would be a joke if he’s not 1st team A10
Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
I think you could make an argument that he is the best player in the league. He’s become a pretty solid defensive player and he is such a crafty beast on offense. I think there are arguments for other players as well, but there is a pretty solid argument for Tre as well.

Most valuable would be in play...UMass might be winless in A10 without him...Dayton would still be top 4-5 without ToppinJackson96 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 10:13 pm I think you could make an argument that he is the best player in the league. Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
URI fans would never admit it but Tre is better than any of their frontcourt players, and they show him no respect. They threw 3 different bigs at him, double & triple teamed him, bodied him up all night, and he still had a huge game. I thought the staff did a nice job in the 2nd half getting him more out on the perimeter where he could get his 3's.

my fear is the NCAA changes transfer policy and ends sitting out one year policy because the big boys will come after Tre. He is one of the top 10 freshmen in the country.

Isn't his mom engaged to TB?? Pretty sure he stays at Umass. He can be well known at this level.
Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell
I believe that he ended up leading the league in scoring in conference games, edging out Toppin by a single point. And by the way, he also outrebounded Toppin. It has taken me awhile to recognize that Tre can play at the next level but I am now convinced and, as a result, concerned that he may not be here after next year. On the offensive end, he reminds me a little of Al Horford in his ability to pass and shoot 3s but I think he may be more skilled around the basket. And he does all of this without a consistent second scorer around him.
