I didn't have Tre leaving, but I guess followers on Twitter saw the writing on the wall. That's the first one that really hurts. We absolutely need to get a point guard (or two) for this team.

I really hope MM saw this coming and already has a plan.

I gotta believe MM has someone the way. He does, right?
No, but Tony Bergeron does.

Bummer. I had Tre leaving. I’m starting to think McCall might be a disaster. No one wants to play for the guy. Now we have ZERO point guards. Not good.

This is a tough one for our depth and I just like Tre Wood's game, although he was wildly inconsistent I think he can play. First transfer that I wish didn't happen (so far)

This was not unforeseen, and I don’t believe it’s an indication of people not wanting to play for McCall. I’m sure McCall and his staff has a plan, but I’m not exactly sure what it is though. If it was me, I’d try and get both a HS PG and GT/JUCO.

I agree. I’m going to make a radical prediction and say that there is a combination of current players and recruits that adds up to 13. And, these 13 want to play for McCall and UMass.

In a way I'm sorry to see Tre leave. I think he had potential. However, he never looked like he was enjoying himself on the court so I'm not shocked. We do need to up our recruiting at PG as Buggs and Clergeot are more combo guards than point guards. Interesting to see how this all shakes out.

glancing at the transfer list, I see 69 PGs already transferring, but only a few with immediate eligibility. The highest ranked one is a guy named Pipkins :(

All we need are a few arrests and this will feel just like the White House.

Yes. Look how late Kyle Lofton signed.

Here's the Rivals top 50 point guards. Not much to choose from unless we can convince Fernandes to decommit from Wichita State. There are a few other quality prep/high school seniors available not in the top 50, but good players. Pierre-Louis and Hutchins are a couple to keep an eye on.

For your added viewing pleasure, here is Rivals list of the top 50 centers. If we get Mitchell, we'll have #17 and #43. That's freakin' awesome.
