In two nights, the Mullins Center will have about 9,000 people there screaming their lungs out for the hockey team. Interesting times we live in.

The whole bball hiring process was a debacle. Got left at the table 5 min. Before the presser(very smart move by pat!) And now we are seeing how matt is working out. Gave mark a 1 year ext. That was brutal and failed. Your other hire is doing well(makar, murray and leonard were micks recruits) with coaching but had to hide and cover up off ice issues from the public that if ever got out would cause a stir. So...maybe bammy needs to hear it.
Why don’t you knock off the bullshit about the off ice issues cover up. You’re a fucking clown.

I had absolutely no motivation to drive out for this one. Don't really understand what has happened to this program, but something is not right. Not sure if it was an overly optimistic expectation for the transfers, high expectations for the freshman, high hopes for the upperclassmen, or what. But I don't think this season could have gone any worse than it has. No aspect of this team or season has exceeded anyone's hopes. I feel for these players because I know they work hard, but either the talent is overrated or its not being utilized properly. But the progress this year has been backward

Regardless of anyone’s expectations, what’s happening right now is completely unacceptable.

i think that's pretty much a given. I just hope we keep the expectations high, that next year he needs to do some significant winning to stay on.

I don't want more excuses that the transfers didn't work out, and if he loses some players he's starting over again, needs 2-3 years to get his new team together etc.

Take what you've got next year and win, top half of the A10.

top half of the A10 feels like a pipe dream right now. May as well just fire him now if that's where the bar is set. It's not realistic.

Complete lie. I know someone that was at the game. Said there were 1,000 or fewer there. Smallest crowd I can ever remember.

Just because it seems like a pipe dream doesn't mean it shouldn't be our expectation in year 3 of the MM regime. So what's good enough to keep going after next year? 10th, 12th? Not last?

Didnt see the game but watched the press conference. Sad day when our coach feels the players are not giving their all. I see it. Team needs a close door meeting to air it all out and start coming together as s team. Could care less if they win another but i want to see their attitude change.

I'm with you but I would rather just fire him now and re-start another rebuild than pretend its realistic to set the bar at "top half of the A10."

My apologies, I thought you were heading towards the give him a year 4/5 idea lol. If we could afford it I frankly wouldn't mind wiping the slate clean now, but I don't think it's doable money-wise. But Ryan B should not be looking at any more extensions for MM until we are winning!

UMass should fire McCall and try to lure Pitino home.
