What’s funny is that going into the season I might have thought that those two teams had top 3 offenses (Davidson being the other).

But as far as the game goes, I’m not going to expect wins anymore until the team earns my trust. They were on there way there after that Rhody win and if they had won tonight I might have been fully back in, but now the meter is pretty much empty again. Won’t be surprised at a win and would still be happy as hell, but I see no reason to expect one at this point, even against another bottom team.

I think a lot of us feel the same way. I hope for wins but no longer think they are out there.

No mater how bad St. Joe is their coach figures out a way to beat us. Don't think we can win but it would be nice.

One thing that we do have going for us in this game is that they aren’t an exceptionally big or aggressive team. I think teams that can shut down our offense (eg. La Salle) are the ones we have the most trouble with, even if they aren’t that good overall. That’s why I feel like we’ll have our best shots against teams like Fordham, Joe’s, GW, Richmond, maybe even Duquesne and Davidson. A couple of those teams can really score it, but they aren’t going to defend the shit out of you like the La Salle’s, VCU’s, or SLU’s of the world.

anyone talked with Pip to find out if he going to shave some points on this one? Would like to win....

oh that is right.

it is embarrassing that anyone think he is working with a bookie to shave points. He simply is not playing well and his integrity should not be questioned... WE are better than this as a board!!!

^ No one has said he's shaving points. People have commented that some of his plays are reminiscent of what someone who's shaving points would do. There is a big difference between those two things.

SJU reminds me of last year's UMass team. Last game they only had 7 scholarship players available. They have been hit with injuries 2 years in a row.
If Longpre (missed last 3 games due to concussion protocol) doesn't play, they only have 1 guy over 6'7. That's Funk (6'9, 230) who's pretty good.

I hope Diallo is back because he's our best defensive match-up on Brown (6'7) who is far and away their best player (20 points, 5.6 boards, 39% from 3).

That's all the analysis I care to do. Hoping for a win, but not overly confident.

Just like OJ saying I didn't kill them but this is what the person that killed them would have done.

As a one off I might give that to you, but it has been "alluded to" multiple times............. clearly there are people who think this is actually going on.

^ Two people have said it looked kinda like what someone would do if they were shaving points, but that they don’t believe he is.

Personally, the times where he loses the ball where he isn’t really doing anything, or just nonchalantly dribbles in front of a defender and doesn’t protect the ball and has it stolen, which have been numerous this year, seems like a lack of focus more than anything.

This conversation is unfair to LP and is pointless. Checks his stats. His turnovers are down this year and his assists and rebounds are up. The only problem he is having is obviously shooting and I'm sure it is driving him nuts.

These comments are all dumb IMO.

The team is not playing well and losing a lot so everybody is micro-analyzing everything. You could say the same thing about DK's teams too but one bad season is much different than 9 bad seasons.
