The only Trey Flowers I know plays for the Patriots. I can't recall anyone by that name playing BB for us.
HAHAHA out of sight out of mind.... Tyrn Flowers ******

Cady had 79 rebounds as a frosh, not enough to even get into the top 20. McLean is correct. He comes in at 7 with 162 rebs. Gresham didn't make it with 89 rebs. Same with Tray of Flowers with 88.
You got Sampson and Vinson correct. Three gold stars for you, although I gave away one of them. Vinson is 6th and Sampson is tied for 11th. That leaves four. One played in 02-03, one in 08-09 and is known as the pouter after a UMass win when he wasn't in the game at the end, one played in 11-12 and was a fan favorite, and the last is also #2 in assists and #9 in blocks among freshmen.

Any guesses for the remainder? Another hint: One quit midway through his sophomore season with bad knees and did not return.
Lawrence Carrier? And Holloway?

I was thinking Hempel and Harper Williams but I guess not. How about McCoy and Barbee?

No on Hempel and Barbee. Also no on Carrier and Holloway. Okay, spoiler alert, here's the list of top 10 freshmen rebounders:
1 Rashaun Freeman - 249 rebounds
2 Horace Neysmith - 239
3 Lou Roe - 219
4 Edwin Green - 210
5 Marcus Camby - 185
6 Terrell Vinson - 174
7 Unique McLean - 162
8 Maxie Esho - 126
T9 Gabe Lee - 112
T9 De'Jon Jarreau - 112

T11 Tyrell Lynch - 109
T11 Sampson Carter - 109

Sorry, I counted Lynch and Carter in the top 10 but they were actually tied for 11th. The most surprising to me are Jarreau and McLean. Of course they played a lot of minutes as freshmen and were on teams where there weren't a lot of front court rebounders.

Thanks for playing.

Also a lot of missed shots... Being lazy but also wondering offensive/defensive rebound breakdown.

^ Off and def rebound records weren't kept prior to 1984 and I don't have the breakdown by class but here's the overall career top 10 since 1984.

Offensive rebounds
1 Lou Roe 435
2 Rashaun Freeman 393
3 Dana Dingle 343
4 Cady Lalanne 340
5 Stephane Lasme 335
6 Tyrone Weeks 328
7 Harper Williams 325
8 Sean Carter 292
9 Kitwana Rhymer 268
10 Terrell Vinson 242

Defensive rebounds
1 Lou Roe 635
2 Rashaun Freeman 605
3 Cady Lalanne 534
4 Tyrone Weeks 530
5 Harper Williams 529
6 Raphiael Putney 486
7 Kitwana Rhymer 456
8 Tony Barbee 451
9 Dana Dingle 448
10 Lari Ketner 430

Of course, not on these lists are all the really great rebounders who played prior to 1984 like Dr. J, Horace Neysmith, Tim Edwards, Jim Town, Billy Tindall, Charlie O'Rourke, Doug Grutchfield, Edwin Green, Roger Twitchell, etc.

Okay, when there isn't any activity at UMassHoops.com for a couple days I get out my spreadsheet. Here's one: Name as many players as you can in the top 10 for season 3-point field goals per game. No cheating boys and girls. (Hint: Several players are named more than once.)

Bonus question: What year did UMass lose to Temple by 32 (worst loss at Mullins at the time)?

I can't get 10, but have to think these are on the list: Monty Mack, Ricky Harris and Carmelo Travieso. Maybe also others in the great teams Travieso was on, like Padilla or Derrick Kellogg? Have to think the 2 fine shooters on the current team: Pipkins and Pierre. Forget the extra credit, I'd be happy to above half on the base question.

Yes, it's probably Jeff, but my first thought brought a smile: Travis said that Papa Lo "played like he was 7'5".

Peter Bernard, one of my all-time favorites, was listed at 5'8" which is shorter than the 5'9" listing for Chaz. Peter was a scorer in bunches in the early 60's.
