Game 24, 2017-18: Dayton (2/3)
Game 24, 2017-18: Dayton (2/3)
Dayton coming to town on Saturday. With the game last night, we have a much needed extra day of rest. Dayton has a full week, their last game was at SLU this past Saturday. They lost to Travis and the Billikens, 75-65. SLU only turned it over 5 times, and may have gotten some home court benefits from the officials. FTAs: UD 9, SLU 25.
Funky TV on this one.
NBC Sports Boston will get it, as will Eleven Sports.
Will stream on the A-10 Network.
This is Dayton's 23rd season in the A-10, but this is only the second season that we've played them twice in the regular season, the other being in 2001.

I hope UMass has its broom out!

Nice! I don't know about anyone else but NBC Sports Boston is usually one of the first channels I flip to when I turn the TV on. Definitely more frequently than NESN.

Dayton is favored by 2. If the tone weren't so snarky this wouldn't be too far off the mark. I still found it amusing.

The Larry Nassar "joke" in that article is absolutely inappropriate and tone deaf. That turd deserves a swift kick in the berries.
Anyway, I'll be there +3 hoping for a UMass win with the dozens of others in the building.

Seeing how we beat them at their home I expect them to come in loaded for bear. We will have to have a extraordinary effort to beat them, something like the RI game.

^Given the limitations and depth of this roster, I think that's what it'll take to beat anyone going forward. Hopefully Baldwin is back and brings some energy.

Interested to see what kind of crowd shows up today. I think it will be very telling as to whether or not the students and locals have bought in. Last game had a decent crowd but that was against a ranked rival. Let's hope lots of those folks had fun and saw this is a much different brand of basketball under MM. The Bill could become just as feared in the A10 as UD Arena if we actually get a passionate fanbase there regularly.

Wonder if there is a core of student fans for all sports or sport specific. The hockey crowd was pretty good last night for students. If the same kids come to hoops they'd fill a bit more than half the student section. 2PM game start should be good time to get there for kids. It shouldn't interefere with other social activities and is late enough for them to be awake.go_gou wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2018 8:18 am Interested to see what kind of crowd shows up today. The time, day, and weather are perfect, although I don't expect a lot of people due to the recent losing streak. 3500-4k would be nice, anything above that would be great.

11 Sports or A 10 - you pay.
Looks like a decent student crowd behind the basket.

A10 doesn't have the game listed.

Box score shows 14 baskets with 14 assists....very rare and a great stat
