Loved watching that game again. Still unbelievable to me that Freeman ran off the court celebrating with more than 4 seconds left. Had a chuckle seeing Artie Bowers again. Viggiano was a tough kid.

Great game. I was there and remember Freeman making that last shot and then running to the bench celebrating as UConn pushed the ballup the court.

Viggiano was the unsung hero. At the end of the game he made a 3 pointer and later drove the lane for 2 more points on a goal tend. His defense in the last seconds forced UConn to take a desperation shot.

Also forgot that Stephane Lasme and Big Delli were on that team. Lasme's contribution was huge as he and Freeman had to battled a bigger UConn team.

Interesting note by Dan "Shank" Shaughnessy in Sunday's Globe

At the age of 76, longtime UConn men’s basketball coach Jim Calhoun is returning to the sideline to coach Division 3 St. Joseph’s in West Hartford.

^^ He did more than run to the bench. If memory serves, he jumped up onto the scorers' table.

He went into the bench while the game was still going on. He jumped on the scorers table after the game.

UConn settles with Ollie for $3.9 million
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-baske ... 39-million

So not only do I hate UConn, but as I live in the state, my tax dollars are paying for their mismanagement. Fu@%ers

That's $14 million since January they have payed him. They probably would have had to only pay half of that if they had negotiated with him when they initially fired him.
