2020 Recruiting

In his bio on Commonwealth Academy's web site, Couluris, who is the head coach and who Bergeron helped get the job, specifically says that he wants to help restore UMASS to it's former glory days...while mentioning Tony by name and calling him a mentor. If this is indeed the case, it makes sense that TB is so confident we will land him. Could the "big" people are talking about be 6'10" Center Isiah Richards, also with Commonwealth Academy? ESPN and Rivals have him as a 4* with URI, Nevada and UTEP showing interest. Never heard his name mentioned or associated with UMASS, but he's also from Brooklyn like Oukadale, and if we've learned anything from this years Freshman...seems like they like the comfort of having a teammate/frien on the roster and could very well be what tips the scale in our favor.

Ever hear of Richards OFFSeason? Pipe dream to think he'd come here?

I have seen Richards and I like him, was very surprised we hadn’t offered him but then I heard he might not be eligible grades wise and that made sense...however, that is not something I have confirmed.

I'm feeling somewhat optimistic that we land Femi. Congrats to the Mullins Militia for helping the cause. If you haven't seen it, they made a sign that said "WE WANT FEMI" and tweeted a picture of it. He retweeted it and then he took the sign with him.

Looks like he was just offered by Va Tech. Hopefully Offseason is correct and he is slated here. Always worry though. If the Zags wanted him you have to believe others will offer.
