^ I understand all that, but it seemed naive to still be telling the world that we are a choice if we are not. I'm assuming that we would tell a kid that we had offered that we are done.

That's just the way it is these days. Happens all the time. Fact is most people following a kid's decision aren't as keyed in to his potential choices and who could actually take him as dedicated fans like the members on this and other boards.

I'm sure they have.

Say what? https://scoopmantv.com/2020/04/11/rifen ... pril-15th/

"Rifen Miguel’s search for a new home post-JUCO appears to be coming to an end. The second-team All-Panhandle Conference forward announced that he would be deciding between UMass, Ohio, Jacksonville State and Milwaukee-Wisconsin."

What year we talkin' bout here? Still recruiting 2020? What else don't we know? He has our logo on his twitter page.
Maybe we are going for another big body and someone else is on the move.

Nope just wants to have our name in there to show the world a bigger school was looking at him before going to one of the smaller schools on the list

Might there be some movement by players after a yes vote on the NCAA transfer proposal?

If I was Kolton MItchell, I'd be thinking about it. But after listening to his 20 minute chat with his buddy on youtube, it seems he has big dreams which are not going to be facilitated by transferring down to someplace were he could start. Buggs may transfer in the future, but if I'm him I stick around and get myself 100% physically before going somewhere else.
Edit: I do think if Buggs can get back to his pre-injury form he'll get some minutes. Don't forget he's still a freshman.

Got to watch Woodstock versus Bosco on youtube from January's Hoop Hall tournament. Dominguez played the first 34 minutes of the game without subbing out and didn't look the least bit tired. He hit a bunch of 3's and also showed a good sense of where to be and what to do with the ball. DeGray showed his all around game with some great moves around the hoop, some 3's, and some blocked shots. IMHO they were the two best players on the court. McCrory not so much.

I think we definitely got their 3 best players. Cairo looks solid in other video I have seen.

We've put together some nice pieces to complement Tre.

Here's the link for Woodstock v Bosco
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfNAjnwum2c

There's a couple of other Woodstock games but this is the most recent. UMass fans will find it pretty hilarious as they open up in their full court press resulting in about 10 consecutive lay-ups for Bosco. They seemed to adjust the press about 10 minutes in and that changed the momentum. Question: there's Woodstock Gold and Woodstock Blue, is that right? Is one better than the other?. 'Cause I wasn't that impressed with the talent on this Woodstock team. Here it was January, and the only commits they had were UMass, Rider, and Bryant.

This Woodstock team wasn’t quite as good as the past couple years. Woodstock has two prep teams the blue is sort of a b team mostly d3 and d2 level guys while gold is supposed to be d1 guys

I see a pattern with these last 2 recruiting cycles, apart from the obvious TB/Woodstock set up. Seems like they are embracing the reality that 2-4 kids are going to be transferring out every year. As a result they’re trying to fill out the roster with the most talented kids available and let playing time/future playing time sort itself out through competition. The guys that get beat out will most likely move on, and you’re left with the strongest guys remaining.

I’d say the conventional wisdom is you recruit starters, bench guys, and end of bench guys. I don’t see them just taking guys to fill out the back of the roster anymore.
I don’t think so. The coaches never had a full roster that they collectively loved. Now that they have it, I think the goal going forward now is to keep this squad tight and grow them to their fullest capability. Sure we may have 1 or 2 but it won’t be seeing these full roster turnarounds anymore.
Between this and football, how badly does this affect our APR score for each and does it matter?
