If we can get the freshman version this would be a good pick up. He's also supposed to be a lock down defender. That's 2 sit out transfers, I don't think we can afford another one so what does that do to Clergeot?

What happened his sophomore year? Good freshmen campaign, but major drop off in year 2.

Better talent came in and Steve Pikiell didn't think he was talented enough offensively. Not the best sign since it's Rutgers but when's the last time we recruited and got a "lock down defender". If that's true, I'm excited, he'll have a role that can be very useful in the A-10. I'm sure he'll progress over time offensively too.

From something I read before a lot had to do with a coaching change. I agree with what has been said.. would be nice of we can get one more that can play this year.

This was certainly encouraging......the former coach said he was Rutgers best scorer around the rim. Another staffer said he thought he had the best chance of anyone on the team of making the NBA. I know I know, it's Rutgers, also liked how his teammates said he's a tireless worker

Looks like he's pretty athletic and has a good frame. Has a year to work on his jump shot now. If McCall has his team pressing down the road he should be a nice piece like Cobb will be a nice piece if they are shooting threes.

Kinda feel the same way about all three new guys coming in...not jumping over the moon about them but think they should be pretty good pickups and all should fit into roles.

I'm happy about this commitment. Lock-down defense is certainly something this program could use.

Looking forward to seeing if we can add a wing for this coming season, too.

He averaged 3 pts as freshman and 8 pts as sophomore but I think came on down the stretch as he started last 10 games.

The opposite. 8 PPG as a freshman and 3 PPG as a sophomore.

With Cobb, Turner-Morris, now Laurent, and possibly Clergeot, I think we may have a pretty good idea of how good McCall and staff truly are at developing players by the 2018 season. None of the roster additions they've made thus far have blown me away, but for the first time in a long time it feels like we're adding pieces to a puzzle instead of just getting talented players.
