Kolton Mitchell starts his visit today. Let’s hope we can get him to commit before he leaves.
I'm not sure that this short video has been posted. I love his passing/court vision.

do you guys honestly prefer kolton over woods? or are you just assuming we're no longer in the running for woods?

I’m out on Woods. I believe if he wanted to be here he would of signed already. I think he is looking for a better program and is using UMASS as his back up plan.

I like both Adams-Woods and Kolton Mitchell, for different reasons. Adams-Woods is a very solid overall player, he does everything well, and limits turnovers. Kolton Mitchell is an extremely good passer, and is adept at getting into the paint and creating opportunities.

Even if MAW committed to UMass now, I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me nervous that I believe he's had plenty of opportunities to commit to UMass before now. It's not even so much how he's handled the last couple of months, it extends to long before that. Two years ago when he was part of the 2018 class and UMass was recruiting him, he chose to reclassify to 2019 in search of better offers. Then last fall he chose Nebraska over UMass.

Does anyone know if Kolton made it to Amherst? Mr. Walfish, if you read this board, please comment.

MAW is not coming to UMass. Plus, he didn’t get any love from the already committed recruits, that guys like Kolton did. Think it would be a team chemistry issue of who’s “the man” of this freshmen class and they wanna make sure that’s Tre. The fans did their job, even Camby gave a shoutout to MAW. Eh, what can you do?

The first statement is not accurate, and the second is a stretch.

I'd prefer to hear from TheOFFSeason on this... he seems to be the only one who knows what's going on.

They were all commenting on MAW Instagram when he visited but I agree that he isn't coming and that is why we took Sean East

Twitter folks are reporting MAW is headed to Cincy. Thus ends that long romance that finishes with blue balls once again.

Jackson, I think he needed to not be here, so good for all involved.

Yeah probably best for both parties if he didn't really want to be here, which is what is seems like at least. No idea if that's actually the case, but it appears that way. I just thought the blue balls comment was a good line, so I went with it.

The Mitchell kid is on campus so he could very well be the one as some have speculated.

I don't even understand the lust for a second PG in this class. To me, the PG is the leader of the team, who sets the rhythm and the style, who organizes the offense. That can only be one guy. I personally don't think a team is effective with two PGs splitting the time more or less equally. The team can't get their style and identity that way. So if Kolton Mitchell decides to join us, then either he or Sean East should get the bulk of the playing time (assuming they are ready). One of them is gonna spend most of his time on the bench. That's a prescription for unhappiness in my book. These coaches, McCall and TB, know a zillion times more than me about the game, but I still think they would be better off saving that scholly for next year, when needs will become apparent and other recruits present opportunities.
