Maybe I'm missing something with Keon, but he didn't exactly make an impact at Memphis.

Did a little more research. Originally committed to Texas Tech, ended up at Memphis. Had good numbers as a senior and McCall had previously recruited him.
Clergeot chose Texas Tech over offers from Bowling Green, Virginia Commonwealth, Stephen F. Austin and UT-Chattanooga.
The 6-foot-1 point guard is averaged 26.8 points, 7.9 assists and 6.5 rebounds per game last season and will look to bring that scoring hand to Lubbock.

Weird stuff going on at a Memphis so tough to judge in minutes and numbers. With the mass exodus there and the Lawson stuff tough to say. Seems the backcourt was mostly upperclassman as well. Don't forget Trey Davis was 3.3 points and 9 minutes as a freshman behind upperclassman

The numbers are not great, but as a transfer, he would benefit with a year a MM's coaching and practicing with the team.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Doesn't really wow me, but I don't really know his full deal. At a cursory glance my inclination is to say that there are better sit-out options out there I'd think we should be able to get. But McCall knows better than me.

Little guy. Well, he didn't put up huge numbers as a freshman but he was recruited by a lot of programs. Will have to sit out a year, like Cobb.

I wouldn't be surprised if we land him. If we do, I hope will try to fill the gaps with a grad transfer or two, to give us some depth and experience.

I would be thrilled if this kid could become a Jabarie Hinds type player for us.

From a quick look, Hinds is actually a really good comparison for Clergeot. Their game and physical tools appear to be similar.

Agreed.

Also, Keon will visit the UMass campus on May 11th.

Was just thinking that he should have been on the UMass campus by now and then, here he is! I hope we get him.

I will be happy if we sign this kid. Having and additional experienced player to join the team after CJ and Brantley graduates will be a plus. Cobb and Clergeot has a nice ring to it!!! :D

He's been on twitter the entire time during his visit at UMass so far and just tweeted, "wasting my time". Uhhhh ok.
