Jordan Walker from The Patrick School (NJ), just picked up an offer from UMass, per a source.
This is a case where the ratings need to catch up to the talent. Just look at his other offers.

Luc Smith‏ @LucWSmith 32m32 minutes ago
Providence, BC, UCONN, Georgetown, & Umass here for @RivalsNation 2018s AJ Reeves (@ajreeves11) & David Duke (@Duuukkeee) #adidasUprising
Two players we looked at under the old staff. I would be thrilled if we could land either of them.

I would be shocked if they get in on either one of them but let's wait and see.

On another note, Luc Smith is an Amherst kid that helped out at NMH last year...he will be a basketball lifer and I thought McCall would've made a good move if he brought him on in an Ops position or something of that nature. Knows every coach in NEw England

It's my sense that no one else will be leaving - although not sure what Donte is doing. I think the competition is probably pretty stiff in the recruiting/transfer world and it's getting late to throw your hat in the ring.

One kid that McCall has offered that hasn't gotten any talk around here is Matthue Cotton. I know for sure that he will only get better and his stock will increase. McCall should make him a priority right now.

Donte hasn't been at workouts/practices...rumor is Mike Davis likes him at Tex Southern.

Really going hard after Brantley to fill one spot

Brantley is a grad transfer and can play this year. He is supposed to be a great shooter, but didn't get much of a chance at Maryland. As far as us going hard after him, look at his high school recruiting (by Florida).

I read an article the other day about Brantley, he had transcript issues coming out of WMA then went to ND Prep and they weren't cleaned up. He wanted to go to UMass but his mom wanted him further away so he wouldn't be distracted from his academics, he signed with Marshall. Coach at Marshall was fired Brantley went JC route to Maryland.

Personally I would like to see him finish his college career in Amherst, I enjoyed watching him play in HS and Prep, he's a mature young man and I don't think he has shown what kind of player he is yet. I believe he is in s Sports Management program at MD so having his Masters from UMass would be a great addition to his future resume. We would not be sorry having this young man for a grad season.

If I can find the article I'll post it.

^ This isn't the right thread for Brantley, but whatever. My concern with Brantley is, are we going to task him with being the PG? If so that would worry me because while he seems to be a solid player and good shooter, he doesn't seem to have displayed much in the way of PG skills in his two years at Maryland.

I also have concerns about CJ and Pipkins trying to play the point.

Brantley is a point guard that is all he's ever played. Playing with Trimble who was ball dominant reduced him to being a spot up shooter.

^ Opportunity or not, he hasn't shown he can be a successful PG at the D1 level. Maybe he can, maybe he'd kill it here as a PG.
