UMass fans will want to own a copy of this movie.

Make sure to see when it premiers next week.

Agreed. I was at the screening and was pleasantly surprised by how much of the film is devoted to the UMass years ... easily the largest chunk of any of his four head-coaching stops (yes, including Kentucky). Great footage, plenty of interviews with our guys. Practically serves as a secondary mini-documentary on the golden years of Minutemen hoops.

What a great recruiting tool. No doubt all of our current roster will watch this. I wonder if coach McCall brought the team to the screening? Bill Belichick is famous for doing this with his teams on bad weather days, or before big games to loosen them up and build chemistry.

He did not. Other than SC student-athletes, it was lightly attended from a public perspective.

^ It'd be cool for MM to get the team together to watch it on Thursday night. 8)

I've seen two guys who currently post here so far. :)
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

That was pretty good. I gotta go back and watch some old clips in slow motion to see if I can spot myself in the crowd. Brings back a lot of fond memories.

It was great to see Martelli as the good guy last night saying alot of nice stuff about cal and UMASS. I never thought I'd say it but I look at young frankenstein in a better light now.

having said that, this is still awesome.

Eh, Calhoun didn't really say much good stuff and then gave a nice shot at the end. He mostly just spoke of the landscape at the time.

Overall, great show. A very enjoyable 2 hours.
