2017-2018 Season
Re: 2017-2018 Season
Would have liked to have seen Pierre make freshman team considering he's the best 3 point shooting freshman in the country by a relatively significant margin. Let this serve as motivation for him.

Wait.... Grant Golden is on the All-Rookie team? He played last year but then got a medical redshirt. Not sure if I agree with him being eligible to be on that list in the first place.

Thanks to Coach McCall, his staff, and the players for a most entertaining season.

^ One way we can send that message is to pack the hall for their banquet as we did in the glory days.
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

Yes!! Reminded me a lot of Cal's first year in that the style of play and hustle were dramatically better than the previous year and the team was way more entertaining than the record indicates.

I wasn’t even alive for Calipari’s first season at UMass so that makes me very happy to hear that it’s comparable.

Yes McCall's desire and fire that are aimed in a clear direction are very similar to Cal, too. DK has a lot of heart, that he had trouble channeling. McCall not being a successful player at a high level is also similar to Cal. He also worked under an accomplished coach at a P5 school.inthescoop wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 9:30 pmI wasn’t even alive for Calipari’s first season at UMass so that makes me very happy to hear that it’s comparable.

They went down fighting. That's all I could have asked for, yet I almost got to see them play in the A-10 Tournament Elite 8.
They are going to win the A10 next year.
