Play well overall, but have a 5 minute spurt of shit late in the game and lose by 5-10 points. Hope I'm wrong.

Team got tourney nerves out of their system with late game lock up vs St Blows. Plays close with Bonnie's, down the stretch a well rested Deeky takes over, UMass wins by 3

I want to hear more discussion on how hard it is (or maybe not) to beat a team 3 times in one year now that we're on the other side of the equation.

I hear you. Thank God for St. Joe's. Without them we would be 12-17 (2-14)

It is hard to beat a team 3 times - we have discussed that enough. Even after piling up a 19 point lead to a severely undermanned team, they still almost managed to let that one slip.

I think Umass has a chance because of the "3 times in one year" rule; however here is the problem: Mobley and Adams had very pedestrian games against us last time and they still won the game. Those two went 3 for 18 from the floor combined - I don't see that happening again - even with an average point production game from those two we lose by 13 instead of 4.

IMO the way to get to the Bonnies is to do anything and everything you can to get them into foul trouble. They are not overly deep - only 30 minutes of bench minutes last game. Drive and drive and drive (of course do not get stuffed every time like Jarreau) but draw contact and fouls.

Playing the "hot potato weave offense" 28 feet from the basket is playing right into their hands.

What DK needs to do is to employ Cal's strategy. With all the TV time outs the game can be broken down into 4 min segments, Coach accordingly and have options that can be implemented quickly if the initial game plan is not working.

So, it's either, "the third time is the charm" or "strike three, you're out". Last night it was strike three for St. Joe's. This afternoon it'll be third time is the charm...for UMass! 8)

This one goes out to Bonnie...

The key to winning this game and advancing is Dontae Clark. He is supposed to be our Ric Flair aka The Man. Zach Lewis and CJ Anderson have been filling that role lately but we NEED Dontae to step up today. That analyst on ASN last night was dissecting Dontae's body language. If he can hit a couple shots early against the Bonnies and carry us in some of these stretches where our offense needs to stop a run by the opponents we will win. Tim Kenney and Schmidt will begin their off season around 5 pm tonight.

All I know is that first you've got to get mad. You've got to say, 'I'm a UMASS BASKETBALL FAN, God damn it! My life has VALUE!' So I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell, 'I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE LOSING TO THE BONNIES ANYMORE!' I want you to get up right now, sit up, go to your windows, open them and stick your head out and yell - 'I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!' Things have got to change. But first, you've gotta get mad!... You've got to say, 'I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!' Then we'll figure out what to do about winning the Atlantic 10 Championship. But first get up out of your chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it: "I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE LOSING TO THE BONNIES ANYMORE!"
