HUH? well if you have a replay of game link post it. I could be wrong but looked like he threw a punch while he was being pushed back by either ref or one of our other players.mlaconte459 wrote:^^ I'm sorry but you are an idiot.. you saw what you wanted to see and not what actually happened..
Is there any evidence that either player is a 'punk'?stevemaz wrote:he did. I saw it with my own eyes. Both guys were out of control punks.
I have watched the replays as well. He swung as he was being pulled away making it look like he was just flailing. He was throwing a punch that was nowhere near hitting someone, because he was being dragged away. That was what the referees determined. You are trying to infer intent. And, you believe he did not intend to hit anyone. The referees viewed it as he would've landed the swipe/punch if he wasn't restrained, I assume. His arm was swinging under his control, he wasn't being tossed around like a rag doll.NilesGold wrote:First person accounts are often inaccurate for a variety of reasons. Watch the replay and gifs that are on Twitter. Gresham's arm swung around while being restrained but in no way was it a swing at anyone.
Yes, they got into a silly altercation for no reason and acted like a punk would. I have done the same thing a few times in my life and certainly would never be offended if someone called me out on it. In addition, only commenting on their actions at that moment in time.LS71 wrote:Is there any evidence that either player is a 'punk'?stevemaz wrote:he did. I saw it with my own eyes. Or, could it be that two young men, both freshmen, got caught up in the emotion of the moment and lost their cool?
Niles, you often are on the money in your analysis, but you are being ridiculous. It is obvious he would have hit the bonnie player if he could. I would bench him for one game (never said suspend) and make it an example for the team. Under no circumstances to we get into these dumb altercations. obviously, there had to be some trash talking and bumping between the two before this play for it to blow up like it did.NilesGold wrote:^ His right arm is swinging around because he's trying to go after the Bona player while being restrained on his left side. But it is not a swing AT anyone. By the letter of the rules I don't know if that's grounds for ejection.
The arm swing didn't appear to be an attempt to strike. Gresham was definitely trying to go after the Bona player, but that swing was not an attempted strike. His arm simply flailed around trying to get to the Bona player while being restrained.mdogt12 wrote:It is still a swing directed at the Bona player which is inappropriate.
I wasn't offended. I just want to be clear before assigning labels to people. Calling someone a punk and saying someone acted like a punk are two completely different things IMO.stevemaz wrote:Yes, they got into a silly altercation for no reason and acted like a punk would.
