Also Bona is just one of those teams who we have trouble with...

Yes it ended down 8, but we played a great offensive set loaded with ball screen and rolls. We only took seven threes, I believe.
UMass had 11 turnovers in the first half. This was the 3rd game in a row where UMass shot below 30% from 3 and I think they're below 30% for the season after tonight. Holloway and Jarreau could be really good but floor spacing is terrible and there's nothing to do to improve it because defenses are going to pack the paint every time.

We are now officially the Bonnies "bitches" . . 7 out of the last 9 and counting with an away game coming . . very embarrassing!

I figured the bottom feeders would come out of the woodwork after this game. The Bonnies played better today, simple as that. Too much bitching about the officiating game after game when Umass losses. Umass plays an aggressive defense that is at time undisciplined so they are going to get more calls and at other times get away with some contact. It's a young team and at the end the 4 freshman were eon the court when they tried to get back into the game.

How quickly perceptions change on this board. After a tough loss to the Bonnies people are ready to jump off Berkshire Dining Hall.

That being said, very disappointing loss. Seemed like the guys didn't give real effort until the 4 freshmen ran with Lewis in the second half.

- Holloway plays well again and is probably the most consistent piece these past few weeks.
-Jarreau continues to show flashes of brilliance and plenty of mental lapses. Slowly he is starting to show his potential to lead this team night to night.
- Donte played lackadaisical and did not set a good example for the young guys. He needs to pick up the intensity.
-Loved what I saw from Baldwin. He is a beast and is going to have a great career. I feel like we never get hardworking grinders like him.
- Pipkins has to find consistency.
-Flowers and Lewis need to get more good looks for 3.

Teams that play small 3-4 perimeter players generally have players who can hit the outside shots. We have poor shooters. Pickens Jarreau Lewis Anderson are not good outside shooterand why not re-evaluate and play bigger better defenders like Flowes,Baldwin, and Gresham and Holloway and Hines Hollowayhh hines greshem and Baldwin should log at least 80 minutes combined and with flowers thrown in 95 minutes. I would like ud to use a more powe lineup as we have the talent to do it.

I went to the game today. It was nice to see a solid crowd.

I came away with a very different impression than you guys.

I didn't think our coaching or play in the first half was all that bad, we simply got buzz-sawed by a future NBA player. Jaylen Adams was absolutely incredible every single minute he was in the game, and the only time we made any type of run was when he was out.

Say what you want about Luwane Pipkins, tough game today, but he's still a really good defender and someone that will continue to grow. But when you watched him against Adams, he was totally out of his league. Pipkins was the main game-plan going into the game to stop him, then when that didn't work we had to scramble to figure something else out, and none of it worked. It's not coaching or the players, it's simply playing against a future NBA player.

Now, don't get me wrong, I was pissed when I was there, but at the end of the day, we simply didn't have anyone to match Jaylen Adams.

Obviously a lousy game we looked overmatched, tentative, out coached and out hustled. That saId it is one game where a lot of young players just got a taste of the speed and intensity of A10 league play. I think they will come up the learning curve quickly and be far more prepared next time out.

Loved Baldwin's play tonight he is a tank and looking forward to 4 more years. Flowers showed his great stroke several times, we just need better looks for him. Was most disappointed in a Pipkens no show, we neither seemed to get the on ball defense or any offense. Tough match up for him but we need more. I thought Dante was fine in first half, took and made tough shots when no one else seemed able.

Panic after one game is unwarranted, let's see a small sample of A10 play, I think we will compete.

I was there today too. The inconsistent officiating played a role in how both teams played. DK was upset at times, but Schmidt was just as upset. Bonnie's experience won out. The crowd was large, but quiet. You could hear the Bonnie's assistant coach barking out directions even during the first half when the game was tight. The crowd was a bunch of youth players who didn't even attempt to distract Bonnie's at the stripe. I stood up to cheer when Baldwin drew a charge and was asked to sit back down by people around me. I dont think DK was outcoached as much as everyone else, here. We didn't execute, but that doesn't mean they were not prepared. They got beat.

Hope you are right. It does seem that every year we say we have young players, poor coaching, no effort etc.

-Been going to Mullins since it opened (albeit as a youngster), and Jaylen Adams is one of the most talented players to ever play there. Kid was a joy (as much of a joy as an opponent can be) to watch today. I'll tone in to watch any Bonnie's games that are on national TV from here on out just to watch him.

-Nice crowd at the game today. Ticket line into the box office was LONG. Hopefully one L doesn't scare them off.

-Baldwin did a fantastic job today filling in for Hines/Gresham.

-Nice striptease today from DK. If he took anything else off I would of had to start taking out one dollar bills. What a clown

-Schmidt is just a really good coach. We're at such a disadvantage every time we play St. Bonnie just because of him. Imagine what he could do at UMass! Better resources, better location. Guy can coach, and clearly can recruit as he gets talent to live 4 years of their lives in St. Bonaventure, NY.

^Scmidt forgot more BB than DK knows. How BC didn't hire him is puzzling . . . hope they don't get another shot!

Jaylen Adams is, indeed, amazing. It took until well into the 2nd half for the team to figure out how to play him, which would be to deny him the ball and go right at him on offense. I think we'll be competitive up in Olean.
