Now that was fun. Pip hitting the dagger trey at the shot clock after crossing over on their best guy was one of the best Mullins moments in years. I noticed that a couple of prep teams were there, but I don't know about our Rocks recruit. Was he there?

Easily the best student crowd in a very long time! 8)
Why are the students a mile and a half away from the court? There is so much space behind the baskets and the stands. SMH.
That is where the risers end they used to have two more rows in the front but it was terrible. Have to fill student section consistently to expand it

Wow that was fun to watch Pipkins raining 3s from everywhere. Great win over a very good team. 6-0 at home. McCall has these guys playing hard nosed defense.

Chris Baldwin was really good today ... shooting, defense and rebounding were top notch.

this board was well represented during the Maroon Pants segment at halftime.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Great win. Great crowd (once they all got into the building). Pip and Baldwin were locked in. CJ still is a nightmare dribble into the key with the ball. But he pulled down 8 rebounds and the team needed every one of them.

Here is all I know:

We have a coach; we have a real coach; we have a freaking real coach.

Lots of great things today, but what impressed me the most is the way they refused to fold in the second half, despite the fact that the refs decided to call a totally different game from the first half, which resulted in 10 fouls whistled on us in the first 5 minutes. In fact, despite just about everything going against them, they maintained a 14-17 point lead for almost the entire second half.

And how about the fact he found two unheralded recruits at the last minute and both are contributing now.

And the intensity on the defensive end — wow.

Can’t say enough about what McCall has done in less than 9 months to change the culture. Phenomenal.

Great job showing up today, students!

CJ fills out a stat line nicely. He gives the team everything he's got. 1st in assists, 2nd in rebounding 3rd in scoring; 80.6% from the line. He made some outstanding passes today, as did Chris Baldwin, BTW.

Looked like Chris may have hurt his right hand toward the end of the game, but no mention was made of it.

CJ is far from perfect, but we know his capabilities and his limitations. Say what you will about him but UMass would not be on a three game winning streak without him...period.

Crazy how they refs let 'em play in the 1st half only to call an inordinate number of ticky-tac fouls against UMass in the 2nd half.

It's hard not to love this team...along with, no...becuase of MM and his staff.

If you told me that UMass would respond to its 4-game losing streak with a 3-game...and counting...win streak that included the likes of PC and Georgia, I wouldn't have believed it.

Surprised that MM didn't wear maroon slacks this afternoon.

See ya Wednesday night!

Couple other things:

People on here bitching about CJ? I don’t get it. He’s giving this team everything he has and for the most part is a highly steadying influence. He hit a huge 3 today and played great defense.

As for Georgia not being very good, I disagree. Maten is a top power forward in the country and showed it today. They are an extremely big team. We hit them with a haymaker at the opening bell, and they never fully regained consciousness.

Team is really creating an identity. First half the defensive effort was huge and they stayed composed in the 2nd half when Georgia made some changes. Starting to feel like that doubt about the teams consistency is a thing of the past and fans can see the progress the team is making. MM and staff are really preparing this team for each possesion, half, and game. It's a pleasure to watch.
Nice crowd today, would love to see 6,7,8K consistently. Fun group to watch

It's comforting to confidently say our coaching staff outcoached the opponent today. It's been a long time. They obviously did their work over the week and had the team prepared with a proper game plan. Great to see and a great sign for the future. GoUMass!!!
