Heard of hustle belt but not too familiar with their biases...
Seems like a whole lot of talk about how good ND is and why they will win, only to predict UMass to somehow pull out a squeaker.
Since I'm driving up with you, let's hope I'm the source of luck.

Would love to get a board table for an hour or so pre-game (for folks who will be there early)

I got courtside seats baseline for this one I'm pretty excited. Hopefully a few days of rest helps the team and theyre able to come out of the gates quicker. Another indifferent effort in the 1st H like the 1st 3 games might cost them dearly here.

They are small (at least the starting 5 are)

6-1
6-5
6-5
6-5
6-10

Looks like a 4 guard offense?

Look for me tomorrow. It's Movember and I'm sporting a Larry Bird-esque mustache. I'll be wearing a customized M.Peretz UMass jersey (wedding gift from the very sporadically-posting Party Merits, who will be joining me tomorrow as well).

To those outside this message board, those last two sentences would probably be viewed as incredibly creepy.

eldonabe wrote:Holy shit - did you see their schedule for November. Not since a Syracuse or Uconn schedue from the Big East days have I seen such a hearty helping of cupcakes! I have heard of bulking up for the winter but Jezus H is that a patsy schedule (not including Umass of course  ).
To be fair, Binghamton and Navy were (for whatever reason) their two designated home games in the first phase of the "Hall of Fame Tipoff Tourament" -- doing it this way allows it to be an exempt tournament and lets teams play four games and have it count toward just one in the scheduling limits. Providence played those same two teams.

But that does pale in comparison with UMass playing Manhattan and Northeastern in the same fashion (as Florida State did).
I wrote this ... it's gotta be true.

I like this idea a lot. I will be hitting up blackjack after the game. I also plan on asking every Umass person I see what their umasshoops username is.

Speaking of gambling, opening line is nd -5

I'm definitely planning to play before the game, maybe after. I imagine it'll be more crowded post-game, and maybe higher limits. Would like to play the morning's winnings in the afternoon :)

Thanks for the tip, but I have to hang around Boston for work Saturday. Gonna go see if Parlor Sports in Somerville will do the hook up for tomorrow.
