Yes. I also remember that he got injured, missed time in the off season and some of the preseason, didn't get the ball in the post much, and then became academically ineligible. It all sucked.TheInsider wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 5:31 pm Remember last year when we all thought he would dominate in the A10??

What a performance that was! Triple overtime... a great game to watch.

Re: Kaeo: Rashaan holloway
This is a fallacy. Holloway's usage rate this past season was 28.3, which would have put him at #4 in the A10 among qualified players. Holloway's biggest problem is committing too many fouls, he committed 7.3 fouls for every 40 minutes, eclipsed on the team only by KTM & Franklin (both 8 per 40).

It's not a fallacy. People saw it with their own two eyes game after game and commented on it here as well. He'd get position and the ball would swing away from him constantly. It was much more evident/clear this season because of the better offense we had.
You're not wrong about the fouls. We also have seen that over his 3 seasons.

Yes, sometimes that happens because sometimes statistics don't always tell the whole story. Crazy, I know.

That usage rate surprise me, but I did think there were times last year when Rashaan could have gotten the ball in the post and didn't (and if I recall correctly I am pretty sure there several folks in here who thought the same way at the time.) Doesn't mean the stats are wrong, doesn't mean I'm wrong. It can be both.
Sure he got some post up opportunities -- that can't be debated. He also could get some shots up off offensive rebounds which would raise his usage rate. We're also talking a 15 game or so sample size so one game could skew those #'s (no idea and not looking at a game log). None of that really matters, though, when you watch a game and see a player get position and you think should get the ball and he doesn't. Maybe it happens once a game, maybe a few times. But it happened. And yet he had a high usage rate. It can be both.

Re: Kaeo: Rashaan holloway
Impossible. Mr. Glovesandhat says so.
For the record, this is the stat, per basketball reference:
Usage Percentage (available since the 1977-78 season in the NBA); the formula is 100 * ((FGA + 0.44 * FTA + TOV) * (Tm MP / 5)) / (MP * (Tm FGA + 0.44 * Tm FTA + Tm TOV)). Usage percentage is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor.

Holloway could have gotten the ball in the post more, but that doesn't change the fact that he did get it in the post a lot.Jackson96 wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 12:51 pm That usage rate surprise me, but I did think there were times last year when Rashaan could have gotten the ball in the post and didn't (and if I recall correctly I am pretty sure there several folks in here who thought the same way at the time.) Re: Kaeo: Rashaan holloway
I was never arguing how much he got in the post. I was saying there were times last year when he should have gotten it and didn't. I have no idea how much he actually got it in the post. His usage rate is high sure, but it is a small sample size where one game could skew it and he could have gotten shots off offensive rebounds. but, sure he probably got it quite a bit.
Again IT CAN BE BOTH
