I mean, they did draft him, and they own his draft rights. So he'll continue to be on their summer league team.TruBluMaroon wrote:CL snuck into the Las Vagas summer league with SAS.....

The Next Prospect has a check-in on Cady's professional journey:

Reading that piece, I was surprised by his numbers at UM. If you would have told me now that he didn't average 12 ppg in any season, I would have said that's wrong. I guess I remembered him being a little more dominant in the scoring column.

If you're gonna round to a two digit average (e.g. 12 pts a game) then yes, he did average 12 points a game as a senior. What I found really striking was the story of his problems with citizenship. I never heard about that, and it seemed like it was pretty serious.

If he ever got any coaching during his time here and stopping bringing the ball below his waist in the post.. he would have been dominant.

The immigration system in the US has been broken for many many years. A reform is badly needed.uz2b-len wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 2:08 pm If you're gonna round to a two digit average (e.g. 12 pts a game) then yes, he did average 12 points a game as a senior. Deporting him from his mother (who was an American citizen) and family at age 7? No other way to put it besides, fucked up.

^Oh wow, that’s interesting. Thanks for the update OC.
Re: KAEO Cady Lalanne
FYI Cady was in the news today, with his draft rights getting traded from the Spurs to the Warriors. Simply cap maneuvering involving Marquese Chriss.

The Warriors didn't receive any current NBA players in the deal, but received the draft rights to Cady Lalanne in the trade for Chriss, The Athletic's Anthony Slater reported Thursday. Lalanne, drafted 55th overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Spurs, played one season with the G League's Austin Spurs before a run of stints playing in various nations around the world. LaLanne was an injury replacement in the 2016 G League All-Star game, averaging 12.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks over 26.3 minutes per game over the first half. He currently is competing with Changwon LG Sakers in the Korean League, earning All-Star honors this season. A four-year player at the University of Massachusetts, LaLanne now is 28 years old and isn't likely to be cracking an NBA rotation anytime soon.
