KAEO: Rich Kelly

As reported yesterday, he is transferring from BC. He played at Quinnipiac prior to that. Obviously needs his own thread and to distinguish between the two Kelly's.

Scored 7 in 27 minutes against Mathew Wayne McCall's Minueman in 17-18.

Any guesses who the UMass leading point getter was that night in CT? Winner gets an att-aboy.

if it wasn't Holloway, it had to be Pipkins. But that's too obvious, so ???

That's a great question. Our leader not only was high scorer, he played the most minutes, hit 4 of 7 treys, was second in rebounds, and second in assists.

To quote Mr. Bob Ryan: "Why can't we get players like that?" :)
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

Had to look it up in my old Excel stat sheets. It was a career scoring night for him. He averaged 17.5 in his last four games that year.

^ I've seen a lot of reports about his outside shooting but he takes it to the hole better than I was expecting.

Love the quick release and step back on his 3 point shot... There will be one game next year where he gets hot and scores 30.

If Rich Kelly really wants to help UMass he needs to find a way for his uncle to send some of those Montverde kids to Umass.

Kevin Boyle is his uncle? Oh damn, didn’t know that. Randomly met Kevin a couple times in my life. Definitely a legend in the high school basketball world!

Love the video. Looks like a really good player who can help, maybe a lot! Wicked wish it was for more than a year but he makes the team instantly better!
