Re: 2016/2017 Scheduling
I'm with those who think the schedule is OK, about as good as could be expected, although it could clearly get better/worse as final details emerge. So far 5 challenging games and 6 "easy" ones, at least on paper. Could there be a revenge factor after this season's defeats from UCF (it's b...

Re: Kaeo: Rashaan holloway
I'm looking at it in a different way. While you don't need a dominant big man to be successful in the A10, if you have one you have a built in advantage over other teams. You have an option they don't have, you just have to work him properly into your offense. I totally agree. It's a great advantag...

Re: Kaeo: Rashaan holloway
^ I think he could be a lot better than decent. I'm with you on that. He could be a winner, given his potential and could be surrounded with excellent complementary talent. 1 missing item maybe would be a guy of similar size or at least competitive size, like a year behind him, to push him in pract...

Re: Post Season
apropos of not much, tonight's NIT final 4 has zero teams from "power conferences" (9 entered). 2 of the final 4 were champions of their leagues (Horizon, Mountain West), BYU was 3rd in the Mountain West (not looking good for them tonight), and GW was 5th in the A10.

Re: Lowell
I don't like playing a team with RPI higher than 250 from one of the 10 worst ranked conferences. The only positive is limiting travel, particularly early in the season with so many newcomers.

Possible Starting 5 scenarios for next year.. I know that some of the players listed may not be on the team next season for whatever reason, however right now, this is what we have.. PG - DeJon Jarreau SG - Donte Clark SF - Zach Coleman/Seth Berger/Tyrn Flowers PF - Brison Gresham C - Rashaan Hollo...

Re: 2015-2016 Atlantic 10 Talk
What do people think about DeAndre Bembry and EC Matthews declaring for the NBA draft? Would definitely take 2 big stars out of the A10... I think it's Bembry's time to go, he should be a fringe 1st rounder and an EC Matthews return for URI is very important for their 2016-17 outlook. ... That's wh...

Re: Post Season
Man, some good games this weekend. Watching SFA/ND, what a well coached game from both sides. SFA is impressive with how disciplined they play Thought SFA should have won that game. The rebounding foul on SFA with a few seconds left was a bad call. I agree, both going for the ball, contact due to m...

I completely forgot that our last NCAA tournament win was in 1996. Re: 2016-17 Season
^ I see CJ behind the 4 guards you listed, but the tendency towards 3 guard lineups could still mean a lot of minutes for him. I think he developed during this season more than anyone on the team except Holloway. Berger and Coleman didn't seem to develop. Clark maybe a little, but needs to a lot to ...

Re: 2015-2016 Atlantic 10 Talk
The American Conference, clearly inferior to A10 in the RPI, gets 4 teams in, even though their 1 really good team (SMU) is ineligible. In other words, the fifth best team in that 10 team inferior conference gets all those bids over Bona, who tied for the A10 championship regular season. That's ridi...

if they're healthy, URI will be very good next season, and he might get a better job than Rutgers. would be a risk though

Re: Kaeo: Rashaan holloway
Holloway has the potential to be one of the best.Bergantino didnot. The difference is obvious:1. Hnds 2.feet 3. feel for game. 4.Willingness to ask for the ball and shoot. A different confidence.A difference in skill set. Its in Rashaan's hand now. How good can he be. Great!! Is he going to be the ...

Re: Game 31, 2015-16: vs Rhody 3/10/16 (A10T)
^^^ of course last night was not perfectly coached, but thinking about the 3 stars of the game: 1. Jabarie got the start. after the horrendous first half at Rhode Island last week, an obvious coaching call perhaps but clearly a good one. Jabari's first half was amazing. 2. I got a little nervous whe...

Re: Game 32, 2015-16: vs VCU 3/11/16 (A10T)
Holloway looked excellent tonight. One of his best A10 games so far. Everybody says he's not in shape, but if he can do it in back-to-back games...especially vs. VCU, which seems a bad matchup for him.
