same as 53 just got back and everyone on my bus was annihilated... great game that was like a home game for us. Hard to beat a team that shoots 57% from the floor and has about a dozen easy put backs. Great exposure for our boys, should have great student attendance next year.. especially if Travis ...

It is unfair to call out all of the students for not PACKING the Mullins Center for a 2nd round game of the NIT during Spring Break. A lot of students (myself included) were thousands of miles away from campus during the opening rounds of the NIT. Look back to last years opening game vs. Alabama. It...

In the Davidson model of funding students' trips... The Chancellor's office is now subsidizing $25 of each student bus trip, so the cost for UMass students is now only $30. Those who already purchased seats for $55 will be reimbursed $25. What if said student was in the maroon platoon and only had ...

Pat Forde's Chat: Dave Gavitt (Providence, RI): If I can't convince Jim Larranaga to coach at Providence, who is the next candidate I should speak with? SportsNation Pat Forde: (1:15 PM ET ) Dave: Um, Billy Donovan? Ernie DeGregorio? OK, assuming neither of them is coming back ... how about Jim Baro...

I'm sure there's no NCAA rule against it, but there's no way Ford would be OK with his players playing pick-up games at Boyden during the season. Plenty of players play there in the off-season, but it is odd to be there during the season, particularly when you have access to two other gyms if you j...

Thre won't be that many fans at the Mullins for a NIT game, about 3,500 maybe. Very few students will go because they will have to pay. It used to be $ 5 and probably still is. For me BB season is over. I only care about UMass and rarely watch any of the NCAA tournament games. Time to move on to ot...
