Two comments. One, this team WILL lose to Jacksonville State if they play the way they played last night. How can there be no fire, no passion to win at home with a fairly large crowd given the night? Two, to press a lot a coach has to be confident in his bench, that any given player out there can g...

I don't take anyone out.... but if it was up to me, Forbes or Life. Whichever one has the maturity to understand the need. This team will need a confident Thomas somewhere down the line. Tonight is the game to find out what he really has.

Hope Brandon Thomas gets the start tonight. He needs a good confidence builder, and what better school to get it from than the one you shot the lights out on? Be good to see if coach Ford picks up on this.

Now if we could just get "Indifferent" on the presidential ballot, all of us that don't like a choice between Tweedledee and Tweedledum would be able to cast a vote without the need to vomit.

The team is 2-0 against teams it "should" beat. That must continue. It is not currently top 25 calibre, but if it can go 6-1 in November, then whip BC on 12/2 at home it might crack the top 40.

Why all the worry here? Is it just the "looking ahead" to Pitt thing? If you are not overly worried about LaSalle, RI, BU, Fordham, Richmond, CCSU, and Yale; why the concern over Oakland. Granted, the game may start slowly for UMass due to not knowing the opponent. However, Coach Ford, as opposed to...

What does Pitt have besides Gray under the basket? If Forbes can penetrate, along with smart play by Lasme and Ray, can't you go after him early to get him in foul trouble? Get him chasing 3 different guys in the paint. If he is that much of and obstacle to progress, get him out of there fast. Mass ...

I believe the team should break 80 points, and it would be great to hold them under 60. As much as I want and expect this team to score, I hope that UMass is always tough on D.

Well, TF says he plans to run and press a lot this year. Playing Lowe and Mayben together a lot might just get both of them in foul trouble early on, then... Who ya gonna call? You best have someone that is at least "comfortable" at playing point. Hopefully, someone who is adequate. If coach can fin...

.......... in an incredibly dull, half court game, yes. Players do have time to develop a total game. However if your team is going to run and press, you need as many ballhanders as you can get. I would think that both Thomas (who played some point last season) and Forbes might be capable of being t...

I would think Harris must be able to score some, but if he lacks ballhandling skills, and defense, he might not see much playing time. The point is, he needs those skills. What better place to get them than in practice?

Which brings me back to a question I had in an earlier post. Are Ricky Harris's ballhandling skills that poor that he couldn't play some point during practice? What about Thomas, or Forbes for that matter? Just doesn't seem like a position for a walk-on. If his skills at moving the ball are better t...

Agree with Shades here. Locker room material is for when a school that is better than you disses you, and you come back and clean their clock. UMass better not need any reason to beat Dayton. Just whip them like the dogs they are.
