:?: I thought there was some sort of unwritten rule that other coaches were supposed to back off recruiting a player once that player verbals to a school?

The thought that there could be some supposed "fans" out there who would rather see the coach fail than see the UMass program succeed is truly sad. :(

Well, my guess is that it's another bogus rumor. I saw Briggs on campus this morning and it didn't seem to me like anybody was hurrying him to catch a plane home. Strange, if it's another fake one, I wonder who is starting all these...

Lamb got about 30 minutes in the last game before he quit the team.

I suppose he deserved 40?

I'm sorry to see Lamb go, but I don't think it would've helped the team all that much to give Lamb time at the expense of Viggiano...from what I saw, the team was much worse when Viggiano wasn't in the game. Besides, it's not like Lamb didn't get any minutes...as I recall he was still getting about ...

Re: I think so but we'll leave em

I think we do still have 2 left but I think we are going to leave them for next season. I think if we can sign Mike Rudoy then we will, he sounds like he'd be a worthwhile signing (actually sounds kind of similar to Viggiano in many ways). Also, the SBU commitments are now in question...if Dan Cage...

This is from a few days ago...

"Latin's Mike Rudoy has visited Princeton and will visit Massachusetts. He also visited USC but the Trojans backed off. Also in the mix are SMU, Virginia, Boston University and George Washington."

IWB, I won't speak for Kosty, but my problem with your posts is that you repeat the same thing over over and over. Here is a basic gist of your history on this message board using your current name: post #1: Lappas sucks, he should be let go, it wouldn't be a loss. Post #2: Lappas is a bad coach, he...

This is quite dated, but it's pretty interesting...has him as a PF instead of a wing... http://www.bobgibbons.net/secure/NewsPub/News/Stories/2001/05/22/9905455961.html Mike Rudoy - 6'7 BF Illinois Warriors(16's). Rudoy had been relatively quiet but effective until the finals of the 16 U division wh...

Apparently Mike Rudoy's father is an NBA agent. If he ever received an allowance as a kid he's going to have some eligibility issues :)

Lasme a better pg than AA? Yikes, I don't think so. Just take a look at their assist to turnover ratios. I'll give you this though, I don't know if Bowers would have beaten out Lasme for the starting position right off the bat...maybe a little ways into the season though. Oh well, it's really all a ...

I agree with Vanmeter. Lasme was far from our best newcomer last season, that was easily Viggiano. His departure hurts somewhat, but on the court I don't think it's going to change the direction of the team in any monumental way.

:?: ...And another thing...why does it seem like McCaw does things on a whim? I mean, the guy signs Lappas to an extension just this past season, and now all of a sudden he pulls the plug? Does he even think these decisions out? If he was going to consider doing this, he shouldn't have burned more m...
