Re: State of the Progam

If Appalachian State and Liberty can succeed in FBS Football, there is no reason why we cannot. Football and Men's Basketball are, by far, the most important sports in college athletics and we are no better now, if not worse, 5 years into Bamford's tenure. Rest assured that if he was doing a very g...

Re: Game 16, 2019-20: at Dayton (1/11)

I'd like it if there was more to the story, because the way it was represented in the press was not very flattering to McCall. https://www.daytondailynews.com/sports/archdeacon-heartfelt-hug-handshake-for-dayton-grant-crutcher/EKdFJJC6agC87bmodKabVJ/ Seems like it is an okay situation. Re: State of the Progam

It’s great to have good students and solid character people in the program. However if the results are 1-11 and big time blowouts, all the posturing by Bamford will not register. Results matter. Well, considering we’ve not won with borderline students (not all, but the APR sucked), might as well tr...

So much for a committed staff. 1 year and out?

I'd have to imagine the money is much better.
To be a position coach instead of DC? Maybe this is connected to the ineptitude of our defense as well.....

Sean East is fantastic, but he can be too loose with the ball.

Kolton Mitchell seems to steady the pg position. He looks like a tough, strong, smart player. Speaking of, I miss John Buggs.
Mitchell reminds me of DK as a point guard. More athletic though.

Re: Game 14. 2019-2020 SLU 1/5/20

When Djery was in the game, I can’t believe Hasahn got that layup off so easily. Should have been an instant foul. Big mistake there! This was a huge error by Djery. He entered with the single purpose of fouling French if he got the ball, but instead he went with the the cutter and gave French an u...

Re: Game 14. 2019-2020 SLU 1/5/20

They just didn’t execute and that is age related. East slipped when French got on him, Diallo made a great cut to have a fast ball thrown behind him and they got three wide open looks from shooters to try to tie the game.

Re: State of the Progam

I have zero doubt that we are finally on the right path. a 32K seat stadium will one day be sold out.. How many here will still be breathing to see that? An upper deck to the home side and closing in an end zone would get us there. My guess, if things go as planned, additional seats by 2025. Not th...

Re: Isabella!!!

In preseason he was targeted and did not catch it. Reports from Arizona were circulating about this in the preseason. You said early on, but I appreciate you being specific this time. Either way, they buried the kid for little to no reason. That's a big reason why they went 5-10-1. Yes. He was buri...

Re: 2019-20 season

I think roster stability is the name of the game for the next 3+ years. Turnover has been a big problem at UMass and across the NCAA. We know all the freshmen aren't going to make it to senior year, but if the "big 3" (TJ, Tre, Sean East) stay here for 4 years I think we are going to be happy campe...

Re: Isabella!!!

He had a lot of trouble catching the ball this year early on. Yes, but he has to catch the ball. He seemed to have trouble adjusting to the speed/strength of throws. He will put in the work and figure out how to do it. He did it before when he converted from RB to WR at UMass. He was only targeted ...

One problem with most of the bowl games is that it costs the schools to actually play in them.
Yes. The school has to buy a certain amount of tickets. Hopefully if we make a bowl we will travel and not have the school have to pay.
