Re: Serious Question

One obvious answer is the expected return of TJ, who looked very good before his injury. We expect roster turnover, but have no idea what that could be. Imagine finding a grad transfer like Djery but with some offense. Add that to player development and you've got something. Positions most likely to...

Re: Game 18, 2019-20: George Washington (1/18)

Count me in the give Kolton more minutes at the point with East moving off the ball more camp. East has had his moments this year but I think as the season has gone on he’s struggled to find much consistency and that early season flash of efficiency (limited turnovers and shooting %’s over the moon...

Re: Game 17, 2019-20: vs St Bonaventure (Rochester, 1/15)

Osunniyi has been playing great, with 21 blocks in the last 5 games. Bonnies are undefeated except when Osunniyi was hurt and the 1 game where he was in foul trouble and fouled out, playing only 17 minutes. Perhaps Tre can hit a couple 3s and draw him outside. This isn't Dayton, but might be the sec...

Re: Game 15, 2019-20: La Salle (1/8)

Things to like: 1. good finish to first half: tied with a minute left, Preston gets a steal and Carl nails 2 3s to hit the 1K mark. Great shooting night from Carl! 2. Tre playing very effectively, drawing fouls and scoring. Took only one 3, which was smart. Had both of Lasalle's bigs in foul trouble...

Rutgers should be in next week's top 25.
Rutgers missing Baker, their 2nd leading scorer and captain, beat a ranked team. they continue to look better than expected

Re: Game 14. 2019-2020 SLU 1/5/20

SLU went 2 for 12 on 3s and had 23 turnovers. Gotta win when that happens. I saw a little of SLU vs. Duquesne a couple days ago and much of today's game, and think SLU is one of the weaker teams in the A-10 (may not stay that way given Travis Ford coaching). Today's loss may be understandable given ...

Re: Game 14. 2019-2020 SLU 1/5/20

last year was very close out there. Samba played very well. Carl was good, but didn't get many shots off. Djery wasn't good, fouling out, but he hadn't played much before that. No one could stop Hassan French, a guy who shots 37% on FTs and went 7 for 10. In fact, SLU shot way better from the line t...

Re: KAEO: TJ Weeks

yet another confirmation of the rule for NCAA waiver on eligibility comes in this article about our next opponent. https://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/slu/billiken-beat/slu-s-jimerson-out-for-season-with-broken-foot/article_b30102bc-0d91-5665-9c76-76737e65253f.html Off topic, but noteworthy that...

Re: KAEO: Dibaji Walker

wondering if the relatively high minutes he played was with the intention of shaking off rust before conference play, or whether Dibaji will always (almost always) get big minutes. or was yesterday somehow a match-up that fit his skills?

Re: A-10 Regular season

as of today, only St. Joe and UMass enter the season with losing records OOC. St. Joe had the toughest schedule in the A-10 OOC (slightly harder than Davidson). UMass had the 4th toughest. 6 wins seems possible, realistic/optimistic. 8 would require considerable improvement or luck. I'd like to see ...

didn't realize Olean was as far as it is. Never been and probably never will.

If Weeks and Walker can play we'll see a couple more Ws :D

Re: 2019-20 season

not the biggest favor, since that game will be played while Bona's on break. If I were Tim K, I'd much rather schedule UMass, where home court advantage might not be needed, rather than other, tougher A-10 games. But we're ahead of ourselves as OOC isn't even done yet.

Djery was 4 of 16 from the field before the Yale game and is 5 of 7 since. Not much sample size, but encouraging. With Sy gone, Djery is needed more than ever and might just come through as he stares down the end of his NCAA playing days.

Re: Game 12, 2019-20: Maine (12/20)

they're big, but Djery may be bigger and lately has been playing like it. perhaps a good chance to try playing him and Tre together. Assuming TJ is still out, Carl becomes the key guy, and if he shoots well we're fine.
