Re: KAEO: Carl Pierre

^ Really notable given his 0 for 9 vs. St. Joe. But I think Carl's 3-point numbers are similar to last season, particularly considering the move back of the 3-point line. Stats are skewed by his amazing freshman year. Seems like he practices hard and often and will know how to hit on the new/current...

Re: Game 23, 2019-20: at Rhode Island (2/4)

Trying to figure out whether getting Djery in there is good coaching or forced by 2 fouls on Diallo, Santos and Walker. Anyway, helps keep it close.

National TV game on CBS sports. The last 3 of those (Dayton, GW, Davidson) have been 3 of the worst ever.

of course #1 on that list is out of the question, but I'm rooting for top 10, maybe 7th or so?

Re: KAEO: Carl Pierre

I'd like to see him in the record book for games played. Needs good health and a few post-season wins for that.

Re: Game 22, 2019-20: at Davidson (2/1)

This is a game you have to win if you don't want to play on day one. A win Saturday would put us in great shape for the day one bye, but a bigger game could be home vs GMU next week. Right now we need to show we can play well on the road, though, because after GMU our remaining games vs lower stand...

Re: GAME 21, 1-29-20 St. Joseph's

Don't know much about St. Joes this season, except that they're winless in the A-10 so far. But they haven't yet played any of the weaker A-10 teams (GMU, Fordham, LaSalle, UMass). Glancing at ESPN's roster page, I see only 1 big; hoping Tre and Djery can take advantage. Also struck by their leader ...

Re: Game 20, 2019-20: Duquesne (1/25)

Keon for sure, to counter the small, quick guards that are the heart of the opponent. Need another quick defender, though, and I have no idea who that might be. I guess Preston to counter their size, assuming their usual starters, but maybe CJ. The press won't work against this opponent.

Re: George Mason 1/22

Looks like McCall has no answers, or is it that he just refuses to change. I point to a lot of the comments on this board that say he should give up the press. Perhaps he tried to change tonight, with CJ starting and not Sean? Not sure what that was, and it didn't seem to work. Sean had a poor game...

Re: George Mason 1/22

Win or lose I'll always be interested. me too. Too soon to give up hope. At least hope for improvement, because there's talent. GMU games always seem close and exciting (but losing) efforts. I don't see good matchups for us here, but both teams like 3s so there's always the chance we hit and they d...

Re: Serious Question

One obvious answer is the expected return of TJ, who looked very good before his injury. We expect roster turnover, but have no idea what that could be. Imagine finding a grad transfer like Djery but with some offense. Add that to player development and you've got something. Positions most likely to...

Re: Game 18, 2019-20: George Washington (1/18)

Count me in the give Kolton more minutes at the point with East moving off the ball more camp. East has had his moments this year but I think as the season has gone on he’s struggled to find much consistency and that early season flash of efficiency (limited turnovers and shooting %’s over the moon...

Re: Game 17, 2019-20: vs St Bonaventure (Rochester, 1/15)

Osunniyi has been playing great, with 21 blocks in the last 5 games. Bonnies are undefeated except when Osunniyi was hurt and the 1 game where he was in foul trouble and fouled out, playing only 17 minutes. Perhaps Tre can hit a couple 3s and draw him outside. This isn't Dayton, but might be the sec...

Re: Game 15, 2019-20: La Salle (1/8)

Things to like: 1. good finish to first half: tied with a minute left, Preston gets a steal and Carl nails 2 3s to hit the 1K mark. Great shooting night from Carl! 2. Tre playing very effectively, drawing fouls and scoring. Took only one 3, which was smart. Had both of Lasalle's bigs in foul trouble...
