Re: Head coaching options

West Point is a spectacular setting for football. We are scheduled to play them 10 times over the next 11 seasons, with seven games at West Point and three (2020, 2026 and 2028) at home. No idea whether those will be played at Gillette or McGuirk (or whatever might replace McGuirk deep into the fut...

Greg got a gut on him. Support the team. Cant support a bigot/racist or people who cover up and support that behavior in the world today.
Um, what?

Stats you going to the CCU game? Swing by IV's tailgate we'll solve all UMass' problems at once.

Re: Game 7: USF

^ I think the disagreement is what the plan was, not what happened. We're always complaining about the state of McGuirk. But it's my understanding that when the renovations were proposed/approved there was not an intent of playing there full-time (or even anywhere close to full-time). I think if we...

Re: Game 7: USF

I think the plan was we'd need Gillette for every game except weeknight MACtion. And then it turned out our attendance was so low that it just made sense to play at McGuirk basically full-time. The plan was they needed Gillette because McG's pressbox was not FBS level and they were building ...

Re: State of the Progam

Also there are some fans that yes miss the CAA, but in reality what they miss is being competitive. If UMass down the line can establish a consistently competitive program, people are not going to want to see two FCS teams on the schedule every season, they'll look at it as a waste. It will be hard...

Re: State of the Progam

This program is not playing two FCS teams a season. Stats you know better than that. Not currently, but they could be and maybe they should be. If that's what we need to do to get it done from both a competitive and interest standpoint, then why aren't we? I'd be for it since it's a bit less pressu...

Re: State of the Progam

^ If we want to play UNH every year that's certainly arrangeable. Hell bowl eligibility allows up to two FCS wins. Only if there are not enough 6-6 or better teams that otherwise would be eligible. If two FCS games are what we need to go a minimum of 6-6 most years, then so be it. Even if it means ...

Re: 2018 - Game 3: @ Georgia Southern 9/8

Rodgers will be back. Of course, this team won't throw double digit passes, but still good to have him. It would be better to have OLB Addo back, but that seems unlikell (News from the Fight Mass. board) Spoke to one of Addo's relatives at the BC game and that person indicated that he was suspended...

So do they just yank his scholly?
They'll likely let him keep whatever aid he has for an interim period of time while he's looking for another opportunity to play.

Clergeot and Laurent are of Haitian descent, but if you're categorizing where they are "from" I would say they'd both fall under Florida as opposed to Haiti.

Re: Djery Baptiste

He'll be eligible for a season and a half. Once he graduates Vanderbilt and enrolls in grad school at UMass, he'll be able to play. That will be an as-yet-undetermined time in December this year. After his initial half-season, he'll have all of the 2019-20 season with the Minutemen as well. He would...

What about Eleven Sports? Can't get NESN or NESN+ here in Mooresville, NC.
The home games will all be on Eleven Sports. NESN/NESN+ are likely picking up the games here in New England.

Re: 2018 Season

Love that we have another legitimate punter, but I NEED to figure out how steady our kicking game is going to be this year. I believe we genuinely could have gone above .500 last year if we had a half decent kicker. I know our Greek God punter can stroke 'em, at least that's what I gathered...
