Re: 2020 Recruiting

Sounds like a perfectly capable backup for Tre. Good enough on offense that it won’t go into the shitter when Tre takes a rest. Not sure how much he’ll help on defense but he’s at least a big body and sometimes there’s something to be said for that. Nice to get some experience too. Might not have th...

Re: 2020 Recruiting

Don't know much about Gasperini, but like a guy his size who can hit 71% on free throws. He got to the line more last year even with his minutes down a little. Shot 47 3s in his first season, only 7 in his second season and went 0-3 from distance this year (all with poor %s). His minutes per game a...

Re: KAEO: Sean East

For me I don’t really do much with player comparisons in terms of development as every kid is different and I also think you could get plenty of examples to fit whatever side of the argument you are on. I try to focus on just the player himself. I think East was really good to start the year. Then I...

Re: KAEO: Sean East

Jackson, I think most people might have seen the fluctuation in Sean's play and were a little concerned. But for me, I look at him and say, he's a freshman, maybe what 18-19 yrs old. Theres lots of room for him to grow physically, and develop his basketball skills and instincts. Maybe mentally he n...

Or it could just mean that his role changed.

Re: KAEO: Sean East

I changed my mind like 84 times on East during the year. Ok maybe 3 times. At first I thought, wow he’s the real deal...four year starter. Then I thought, wow he’s been exposed quite a bit as the competition got tougher. Then I thought, damn this is a nice little mini-resurgence to end the year. In ...

Re: 2020 Recruiting

If they are looking for someone to give some immediate up front help then the Juco kid or the Rider transfer might be the way to go. I think knowing you are probably going to 10 minutes a night and that’s about it is an ok thing. I think any hs big is going to be more of a long term play, especially...

Re: 2020 Recruiting

So I get that transferring is increasingly commonplace but the amount of turnover we have had I think is a bit more than most: DK's guy that transferred at various points after the coaching change: Donte Pip DJ Brison Tyrn Lewis Baldwin Unique Malik Coleman Berger McCall's transfers that transferred...

Re: 2020 A10 Offseason News

I am guessing the URI coaches probably laid out potential scenarios to the kid before he committed vs keeping him in the dark.

Re: 2020-21 Season

TB started following Frederick Scott from Rider. Scott also following some Umass connections. 6’8” 230 🤷‍♂️ Who are these UMass connections he is following? I looked at his Twitter account because well I’m bored and weird and the dude follows 19 people and not of them are UMass-related. I’m wonderi...

Re: KAEO: Sean East

Not sure how that is clear, but ok.

The only thing that is clear to me is simple math. Someone had to leave. If someone didn’t leave on their own they were told to leave. Someone had to leave.

Re: 2020 A10 Offseason News

Not sure if I am in the minority or not but I always want the conference to be as strong as it can be. I want everyone, even our rivals, to field good teams.

Re: 2020-21 Season

In regards to Carl’s shooting I thinking getting more consistent 2 for 5 nights and less 0fers followed by a 5 for 8 night Is about the biggest thing I’m hoping for. I don’t know how many minutes he will see next year. I am guessing still a good amount, but I think given there are increasing options...

Re: KAEO: Sean East

If they are adding a big then someone had to go. Whether they were forced out or left before they were forced out, the fact is someone had to go. The rest is all semantics if you ask me and I don’t particularly care about it. Someone had to go.

Re: KAEO: Sean East

I’m not sure I understand this narrative that offense first players need to play extended minutes as opposed to defense first guys unless this is specific to this situation (and then I’m still not sure it’s true). History has given us a lot of offense first guys who are good in limited minutes and h...
