Yes it clears everything up for me. I don't think you get what I'm asking because you haven't addressed my R#$@$@$@ question once. I used stats to back up my argument about TV and Riley -- while acknowledging TV became a better all around scorer and Riley played well down the stretch his final year....

I'm not disgusted Niles, just figured there wasn't much more to debate. You have your own opinion, I have mine. You are right though, if you keep the debate going I am more than happy to continue. As for stats, you are also right, I don't understand why you think it's okay to use them for players yo...

I hear what you are saying DKERA. Agree it is early to determine DK's ability to develop players that he recruited. Just haven't been impressed with the initial returns, that's all. It is a concern I have -- and I do hope that concern is proven wrong.

Oh how I was hoping the debate with Niles would end, but apparently we're moving on to arguing smaller points and exact words. In regards to the context argument about Riley's senior season, I think the fact that Riley was having another disappointing year as a senior before finishing up strong down...

Interesting thoughts, Marty. Probably something to that. I do think though that even where there are players that don't have the normal attributes or play a normal position, there should still be improvement from one year to the next.

Niles Numbers are definitely not the entire story I agree with that. But weren't you the same guy who told us Dyson can't shoot from deep because of his three point shooting % as a senior in hs and not actually watching him play? With TV and Riley, we get both -- we have watched them play and have l...

Good point on the injury for TV. Perhaps that did set him back from becoming what he could've been. As for expecting too much in terms of player improvement there is a bit of truth to that in some areas. Some players have already maxed out their abilities -- Freeman is a good example of that. Barbee...

Ok. I guess we just disagree. I looked at Vinson as a freshman, shooting 46% from the floor, averaging almost 10 points a game, 5 1/2 rebounds a game in 25 minutes. Those are very promising numbers for a freshman are they not? His sophomore year was a huge disappointment and while his #'s rebounded ...

My point had nothing to do with the expectations for TV and Freddie coming out of high school. It is based on my expectations from their play during their freshman years. I expected more out of their careers after their freshman seasons. Freddie was disappointing for 2 1/2 years and TV turned into a...

I think the player himself and the coaching staff/program as a whole are equally important to a player's development. Obviously the player himself has to want to improve, but it is the job of the coaching staff to give the player the tools to improve. And even if the player doesn't want to improve i...

Plays with another target, guard CJ Anderson. Would be a good get, but seems like he will be SEC-bound.

With Putney, I would just like him to do other things on offense besides launch threes and throw down alley oop dunks. He's obviously got the length and athletic ability to shoot over most defenders. Part of that is on him and part of that is on the offensive gameplan. And on defense his length and ...

Teams shot 42% from the floor and 32% from three point land against us -- those are pretty good numbers (they are worse than our numbers on offense and I didn't consider us a very good shooting team). Although I guess when you look at the shooting numbers in college hoops as a whole, everybody kind ...

Turner moved back to '15. I guess Kanter is a '14 target now.

Let's Give Them Something To Talk About, Part II: Next Year

Next year is a crucial year for the program with the conference unrest, another year of heightened expectations, and the final year of Chaz. I put together a list of 7 players/things/ideas I think are going to be critical. 1) Cady Big and Strong: During A-10 play, it looked like the lights were real...
