Super to see this kind of press, especially in the Globe. Slowly but surely the attitudes and perceptions will come around. Those big gifts were a much needed shot in the arm and I think have helped to galvanize some positive feelings. I hope those donors know how much that was appreciated.

I was getting a "server down" message, so I couldn't post this until now. We contacted someone in the Alumni Association office yesterday. She got back to us last night saying that our not having been contacted for the event Thursday must have been a mistake, and encouraging us to sign up. This morn...

My wife and I were at the Fenway event and signed up, but haven't received any notification about the 13th. We're going to try to contact the Alumni Association today.

^ Did they say anything about needing help from out of state folks? Not specifically, but there may be ways for out of state folks to get involved. The basic idea is to get a core of supporters active in organizing groups and generating excitement about the program in order to get people into seats...

Rolling Ridge- Agree with you and will add one concern. You mentioned that "we diehards" will see progress with 2-3 wins, but others won't be excited about 3-9 etc. My greatest concern is how many of the "others" will be left by the time we surpass .500? It's sort of sounds good to hear us say we'r...

The thought of going 0-12 is certainly not a pleasant one, but I think it is unlikely. I see three winnable games on the schedule, chances are we will come away with at least one or two of those (one being Maine). I'm not sure 2-10 or 3-9 is going to get many people excited about the program, though...

We were planning on going, but my wife very unexpectedly got laid off this past week. :x I do believe she will have a new job by this time, but the issue will be getting time off, and to some extent if we can afford it depending on how long she is out of work. We are friends with a couple we me when...

Like others, I'm in the 1-3 wins camp, but that isn't my measure of success for this season. I'd like to see the team start to play with more discipline and consistency. I'd like to see a more creative offense developing and see some demonstration of the "never quit" attitude that coach Molnar has t...
