Re: 2019 Recruiting

With Mitchell commitment the front court appears to be in good shape going forward. A college game ready point guard would really solidify the rebuild. I hope MM finds someone. I have been skeptical about many things but I think Mitchell is the anchor we needed, now let’s add on.

Re: NCAA Tournament

hanks. I've been to New City. It's a good spot. I asked about Rayers but they said he spends a lot of time in California. Not sure if I asked about the right person.
That’s me. I live in CA but travel frequently to Easthampton where I have kids/grandkid living.

Re: NCAA Tournament

Just to let everyone know, my crew at New City Brewery in Easthampton will be hosting a watch party for the hockey game tomorrow at 3pm. If you are looking for a place to take in the game and taste a good beer or two I hope you drop by and bring a friend.

Re: State of the program

If you listen to the post game interviews McCall definitely tried to deflect some of the blame on to the players. His banishing the team to the Cage was a perfect example. If he wants to discipline and tough love the players that is okay but he didn’t have to make it a conversation point. If he was ...

Re: State of the program

I really don’t understand why so few folks on this board aren’t alarmed by the recent developments. I really rooted for McCall but come on y’all, this program is a complete shit show and the guy has had two years already to shape the program. I know, I know, I am not being supportive, but dang, he h...

Re: State of the program

The issue that concerns me the most is that after four years as a head coach, McCall is seeming to have figured out that he made mistakes and needs to drastically change things. That means to me that he is inexperienced and slow to figure out how to run a program. I assumed that he would be learning...

Re: Game 31, 2018-19: at Rhody (3/9)

Agree with all of the above. It should always be about the coach first. It is his job to earn the players’ trust and respect as a coach. Players play hard when they know it is absolutely demanded. The way they responded to the perimeter pressure had absolutely nothing to do with playing hard. The te...

Re: Game 29, 2018-19: at Duquesne (3/2)

The call on Holloway was the absolute worst call I’ve ever seen! It totally change the momentum of the game and was absolutely ridiculous. I usually don’t call out refs but that crew was horrific. The announcers were almost as bad.

Re: State of the program

^I think Dr. G has excellent points. And to all the fans who are dissenting about fault and blame, I would add that as a coach, you can have the loftiest of goals and incredible knowledge of the game but sometimes things just don’t work out. Sometimes it is mostly the coach and sometimes it is mostl...

Re: Game 22, 2018-19: at Saint Joseph's (2/2)

Either these kids have no basketball sense or Coach doesn’t know what the frig he is doing. How do they not run a set play for a three? WTF?? Really? If you need it, call a TO. Disgusting. Losing faith in McCall. Awful. A decent high school coach would do a better job with this team.

Re: 2019 Recruiting

I think Tre is an incredible talent and has elite talent with his speed, handle, and vision. We have been really missing him and his development as a freshman contributor as a result of his injury. I know some folks here have noted that he has had missed some finishes around the hoop but that is not ...
