Re: 2020 Season
the glob consistently sucks in nearly every aspect i only subscribe b/c they made it ridiculously cheap to do so. i think i paid $1 for 6 months or something. nearly every writer at the glob seems like a complete idiot. not sure if the gazette is any better.

Re: 2020 Season
I would agree with you, but this board has a strange obsession with the band. Its not a strange obsession at all Preech. The UMMB is one of the best college bands in the country and they regularly put on amazing performances. They are AWESOME !!!!! One thing for sure - regardless of how the team pl...

Re: 2020 Season
I don't think that anybody is worried about having a band or questioning whether football can get by w/o the band. Other programs are having their bands play at games hence the question as to the possibility of having some version of the band participate to liven things up a bit and provide some hin...

Re: 2020 Season
That's a real shame. I would think having the band perform would be a significant boost. I enjoyed watching the college games this past weekend and having the band performing was great to see.

Re: 2020 Season
As somebody who has met Randy Edsall, I can safely say that he's a complete jerk. He is despised everywhere he has ever coached including uconn and Maryland.
Does anybody know if the UMASS Marching Band is planning on performing during the football games?

Re: 2020 Season
I will appreciate each and every game that we can schedule as it will likely pay dividends for the program down the road. Our team needs as much game experience and exposure as it can get. Hopefully Coach Bell will have the players ready to play and hopefully some of these games will be televised.

Re: 2020 Season
College football has not been found to be a super spreader thus far. Most of the LSU players tested positive back in June after hanging out socially in baton rouge saloons since then they've been quarantined, recovered and have been banned from the bars. As for Texas Tech - they have 6 active cases ...

Re: 2020 Season
B10 is now going ahead with football after realizing that cancelling the season was an overreaction and a mistake. Apparently the health officials in the B10 don't agree w/Capezone that college football "tends to be super spreaders" I'm not so sure about that - Have there been any reports ...

Re: 2020 Season
Respectfully, I couldn't disagree more Dr.G. I see this as a significant blown opportunity for the UMass football program. The schools that are playing are demonstrating thus far that it can be done safely. I don't think shutting down the football program is necessary or even a good idea for our stu...
