Re: Victor Cruz

I don't know how to post it but, there is a wonderful article about Victor in today's NY Times sports section by Bill Pennington. The heading on the article is, Giants turn the page on Cruz's storybook career. I hope someone will know how to post it here.

Re: Game 20, 2014-15: Dayton

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the game on ESPNU while living in Brooklyn. One small note. When Hinds made his successful attempt to block the last second desperation 60 foot shot by Dayton, I had the terrible feeling that he might accidentally commit a three shot foul. We all would have been distraugh...

Re: 2014-15 Random College Basketball Talk

OK. I thought NJIT defeating Michigan was an upset of monumental proportions. But, at least I'd heard of NJIT. What the heck is the University of the Incarnate Word and how, in heaven's name did they defeat Nebraska? On the other hand, perhaps it was due to heaven's intervention. Anyone have a bette...

Re: 2014-15 Random College Basketball Talk

I thought Yale beating UConn was an enormous upset and then New Jersey Institute of Technology defeats number 17 ranked Michigan in Ann Arbor. Wow. Can anyone remember a more surprising men's college basketball upset?

How is this for a silver lining... It's less painful to lose the way we did then the way VCU did.

OK, I'm thrilled that we won. I even attended the game. That doesn't change the fact that we played stupidly and immaturely. The best example was the last seven seconds. We're up by six. Putney makes a great block and Chaz has the ball. He tries a fancy and unsuccessful alley oop when he should have...

Just watched the UMass-Providence game. Man, those were ugly uniforms the Minutemen were wearing. Almost as ugly at the NY Knicks orange colored jerseys.

Our rebounding in the second half was pathetic except for Maxie who was terrific. Bravo to him. And yes, the VCU fans were numerous and loud. Also very friendly. Let's hope our folks show up in large numbers as well. A nickname for Chaz.. the Chazmanian Devil. Another possible nickname...Niagra. He ...

I'd appreciate it if someone would post an article in today's NY Times sports section( page 3) on the colossal financial blunder made by the Big East when they turned down an ESPN television rights offer two years ago. They have now accepted an offer which is a small fraction of what they turned down.

Loved watching it on ESPN 3. Really got a kick out of the announcers pointing out Chaz and his mouthguard. The kid's got all sorts of skills.

Although the stats weren't exceptional, he actually played very well. Chandler and Camby strengthened the front court and a number of the post game interviews made reference to the positive impact he had. The Knicks won by seventeen (100-83) against one of the best teams in the NBA.

Glad to see that Camby has returned from injury. He played thirteen minutes tonight for the Knicks. He had nine rebounds, four of which were offensive rebounds.

Thank you SignMan for the Chanukah wishes. I have three wonderful grandchildren so the candles do burn especially brightly.
