Re: COVID-19 Discussion

Have you guys looked at the CDC's death number demographic? Just .1% of overall COVID deaths are under 25 years old and it goes up to a measly .8% under 35 years old. Can someone explain to me why all schools and colleges can't resume in the fall? The numbers don't support the argument. There are o...

Re: COVID-19 Discussion

^ I thought the novel coronavirus was completely foreign to our immune systems. We hadn't been exposed to it before, so even at our healthiest... all the fresh air and sunlight in the world weren't going to magically produce the antibodies. Sums it up very well. Keeping the numbers of exposure down...

All of my shirts were fine. Strangely, they all started shrinking about 15 years ago.

Re: 2009 Softball NCAA Tournament - UMass/Washington

Old Cage posted the article yesterday. Thanks for adding in the broadcast of the game. When there are more NCAA tournament night games at Sortino Field, we need to have the library in the distant center field light up a UM in the windows of the otherwise darkened building. _____ | U | | M | | ... | ...

Re: 2020-21 Season

Loved Jim Town, loved the Colonial Classic- local teams at the Garden-fun times. Wish they would bring something like that back. UMASS.BC, Providence and another local school. I can recall Jim Town ripping down a defensive rebound and letting out a yell that could be heard miles away. I don't recal...

Re: COVID-19 Discussion

And as for the election, Biden will likely get the vast majority of Bernie voters if he can energize them enough (he does have Trump to provide that incentive). Trump will once again concentrate on the handful of swing states (a smart move in an electoral college world), so Biden needs to also conce...

Re: COVID-19 Discussion

It looks like they take your temperature to check if you have the virus. How come nobody has invented a headband that takes your temperature and displays it? I'm assuming you know that there are other symptoms to indicate COVID (and that a fever can indicate your body fighting off many other diseas...

Re: The rise of the UMass football program...

Or maybe it is just the product on the field. :( http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/football_records/Attendance/2019.pdf FBS and FCS attendance figures start on page 6. We averaged below 10,000, with only 2 ex-MAC brethren joining us below that line. UConn stunk too, but they nearly doubled our average. ...

..will coincide with the obvious fall of the Patriots. Thanks Bill B, you idiot. Discuss... Okay, corono-boredom has set in, so here are some unsurprising, useless observations. I compared the records of the two teams over fifty years. Comparatively speaking, our record was noticeably better in 18 ...

I'm not finding any UMass-specific puzzles, but..... You can get a jigsaw puzzle made from any picture of your choosing. https://www.zazzle.com/create_your_own_252_piece_puzzle-116263462053248851 (the one shown on the link sure looks like a couple of UMass snowstorms that I witnessed) **note t...
