Re: COVID-19 Discussion

In fairness to my argument above about kids spreading the virus, I'll submit this one study for your perusal. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/07/200710100934.htm Still need good social distancing and lower local community transmission (and a good use of contact tracing). And there still r...

Re: Music faves for those over 65

I've always appreciated the soft rock bands and storytellers. Clapton, Eagles, Chicago come to mind.
The two performers that I can recite lyrics to today would be the Moody Blues and Harry Chapin.

https://archive.org/details/massachuse19701971univ/page/n634/mode/1up A few days after a one-point loss to Springfield College, here is the write up of UMass' takedown of Syracuse, led by Erving's legendary 36 points and 32 rebounds. Totally foreign to today's fans, the crowd was chanting, "NIT! NI...

Re: Erving-era uniforms

https://archive.org/details/massachuse19681969univ/page/n431/mode/1up Looks like the freshman team used Massachusetts shirts as the varsity went with Redmen for the 68/69 season. I seem to recall the vertical Redmen on the shorts during at least one of my early/mid 70's seasons. I only looked at sm...

Sunday is one of the two days a year where the sun sets exactly in the grid pattern of the Manhattan streets. Maybe the storm will get outta there in time. According to the article, there ar...

Re: COVID-19 Discussion

Can someone explain to me why all schools and colleges can't resume in the fall? The numbers don't support the argument. There are o...
