Re: 2020 Recruiting

Ali Brigham's father played for BU and GW. I have played golf with him. Very nice person.

Re: 2019 Recruiting

I think taking on players just to fill scholarships is a mistake - one that I think McCall has already made. Walt Bell left many scholarships open and took on walk ons. If some of these players were not highly recruited or division 1 recruits, they should have been offered walk on status - if they s...

Re: Season tickets anyone?

This can never happen when demand is so low.

Re: KAEO: Jonathan Laurent

I think he is a loss.
Perhaps he did not get along with McCall but I thought he was productive for the most part
If Oklahoma State took him, he must have shown them something.

Re: 2019 Hall of Fame Classic At Mohegan Sun

I went to the 1991 Vermont game in Burlington. A high school like gym, but they are a good program and one we should try to schedule yearly. Very Very cold. That particular night was about as cold a wind chill that I have ever experienced.

Re: 2019-20 season

The scheduling this coming season, to date, if far more attractive and challenging than the cup cake city of recent years. I do not expect (or want) a schedule filled with top 50 programs, but having a good balance is important. Having 250 and up ranked programs does little for player development no...

Agreed - better team won.

Have tremendous pride in all this team has accomplished! If Carvel stays we will be in the hunt every year.

Re: State of the program

I would suggest my aforementioned s__t show started after the 14/15 season. 2 competent players who seemed to me to be good team players (Lalanne and Esho) graduated. Nothing significant was added to the team which still hadTre Davis and Jabari's Hinds productive players with seemingly good team att...

Re: State of the program

I do not think there is any objective way to look at what happened the last 2 years (and even longer) as a s__t show.
The hope is now in year 3 with Bergeron and the Woodstock crew that next year will be decidedly different.

Re: 2019 Recruiting

Think Marshall would have a longer leash than 2 years anywhere he went. With 6 or 7 NCAA tournament appearances at Winthrop in 9 years and with a great run at Wichita he would have a long leash where ever he went. He would be a great hire and an even better higher if Self goes to the pros.

Re: 2019 Recruiting

Let me add, if we get a point guard I am all for it, because we need it. But another wing or big is less of an immediate concern.

Also I hope Laurent stays. He is a good shooter and, while he lacks consistency, he is older and hopefully can provide some leadership to the freshmen.
