Re: Collegian on "Sign Man" - Ed Rubin

A very good friend of mine, from Springfield, owns The Court Jesters, a team similar to the Wizards. For some reason I want to say that they were called the Wizards for while but were forced to change their name by the NBA when the Bullets became the Wizards.

Re: Makar in NHL

^ Agreed. He's so smooth.

The Avs are fun to watch. I like the way they play. Love to seem them in the finals against he B's.

I will say this however, as much as I like the Bruins, I tend to look for teams with UMass guys on their roster to follow.

Re: KAEO Robert Davis Jr

There's no reason not to wish him well.

He played a limited number of minutes as a freshman and showed himself to be a bit streaky. So it goes....

I don't understand why UMass plays the winner of #4 vs. #5 instead of playing #6.

Re: Moving to the Pioneer Valley?

^ That can be both good and bad; depends on one's point of view.

Either way we can respect people's differences.

Re: transfer portal 2024

I’d love to see UMass sign him along with Joseph Griffen, Jr., the wide receiver transferring from BC.

Re: Moving to the Pioneer Valley?

^ I like Westfield because it's a quiet town. My daughter teaches and lives here so I'm close to my grandchildren and am able to be actively involved in there lives. I don't really know much about the city's politics. The commitment to youth sports is impressive. Amelia Park is a nice hockey facilit...

How about Peru?

It's closer to Amherst than Florida, between Hinsdale and West Worthington.

Re: Moving to the Pioneer Valley?

Westfield, Southampton and Easthampton are good too. Easy access to UMass and the Pike.

Westfield has more land than Springfield with a quarter of the population. Decent services and a Pike entrance. There’s a lot of space and it’s very quiet.

Re: 2024 NCAA Tournament Discussion

^ Other than the fake grass, that site would 've been better than East Hartford....at least from the perspective of traveling from western Mass. to see a game.
