Re: 2019-20 season

Like I said, there is a definite role for each of these players and the flow of any given game should dictate who/when. The offense just seems very sterile when KW is in the game. If East can play competent defense and control the turnovers, he should get 70% of the minutes between the two of them. ...

Re: 2019-20 season

The St. Louis game was kind of a turnaround for Sean and Kolton. Sean's A/TO was 7-2 and Kolton's was 1/2. Kolton's defense is certainly better but Sean is much more dynamic on offense. The big improvement I saw in Sean was better decision making on passes. No looping cross court passes that used t...

Re: 2019-20 season

I am not a huge Kolton fan. He seems to be a good kid character-wise, but he is kind of a ball killer on offense. Polar opposite of East who is too loose with the ball too often and weak on defense (for now at least). There are moments his style is definitely needed, but overall I would prefer East ...

Re: 2020-21 Season

I’d love to get to point where we we have PWO the likes of Rigo Nunez. Guys from instate that wants o part of something great. Let's figure out the "something great part" before we start trying to pick and choose who wants to be a part of it. I don't care if we have kids from all over the country a...

Re: Serious Question

Just reread this thread... Are you all now at a safe distance away from the ledge? This team still has a really long way to go, but for the sake of sanity, I am glad they have revealed a few green shoots recently to settle some nerves. For the record, with at least 6 games left on the schedule, this...

Re: Game 25, 2019-20: Dayton (2/15)

Can we keep this within 20?

I am thinking probably not? Dayton is really really good and we just are not deep enough to stay with them.

Pretty good Eldon!
If they win at Richmond I’ll be ecstatic

Pretty good? I can't do better than 11-0!!!!!

The two predictions left that I have the most doubt about are SLU at home and at Richmond.... I think I have the rest nailed.

Re: Derek Kellogg - LIU Brooklyn

I can't even believe this conversation. Look at the level of competition that Camby class played against, and how they did . If we could land another Dana Dingle, Donta Bright, or Lou Roe this team with these young guys will make a big mark on the program, and could go down as one of those best cla...

Re: Derek Kellogg - LIU Brooklyn

Oh I harbor no ill-will toward the man... However, I can't say the same for him and his family toward the University. Time heals all wounds so hopefully it will be better down the road but my guess is it's too soon now. If you can't see (and appreciate) that you were basically gifted roughly $6.0M ...

Re: Game 24, 2019-20: George Mason (2/9)

Why are we discussing hanging CP's number? I am all for recognizing Umass All Timers - but does Carl really count in that group? There are a bunch of players who have had better careers not hanging in the Bill? I must be missing something? Just off the top of my head: Harris Mack McCoy Lowe Padilla ...

Re: KAEO: Carl Pierre

I have always wondered about that? I love the scene in Hoosiers when he measure's everything and to the surprise of them all - everything was the same height and distance.... Go figure....

Clearly it is an emotional difference - I wish they could get past that.

Re: Tony Bergeron

Been watching this situation play out and as a former player thought I’d give my 2 cents. UMass Basketball and UMass in general has always been looked down upon by the rest of the state and all the private and elite academic institutions in NE. To them we are that place out in Amherst and when we h...

I do not recall even a whisper of MM almost getting canned in the last month - WTF is this guy talking about?
