Funny some are more supportive of any potential overhyped recruit than they are of the players who are actually committed to the program.
There are prop comics with better schticks than this bit.

Re: 2019 Recruiting

Jeesh, cool hand you’ve got some pretty hot takes based off some YouTube videos. Wait until he sees Eldons highlight tape! Ha! Like I have preached many times before, a 2-3 minute highlight reel is a ridiculous way to assess talent. It is so f-ing hard to even get a good feel in game segments unles...

Wichita fans can be as dismissive as they want. They're still in Wichita.
And the only claim to fame is the white stripes saying people will go there to work a saw...

C'mon.... the College World Series is there..... and Corn, lots and lots of Corn.

Re: State of the program

Exactly right about playing hard for UMass Pride. The Hockey team made us all proud because they played together and played hard no matter what. They exemplify everything good about the University. They have a deep down love for hockey and for UMass. Cale Makar gave up millions of dollars to put on...

If Duke, NC and Kentucky to name a few that used a lot of freshmen and were very successful why can't we use several freshmen and win a lot more games than we did the past two years? I think that Duke used 4.
Apples and grapes man..... Plus those schools pay A LOT better than we do

I believe that is a maturity thing as much as anything else. As long as he has a solid supporting cast with him and the scoring load is spread out a bit, he will be much improved and stable next season.

That unfortunately leaves a lot of variables including Freshmen who can contribute regularly.

I'd really rather we didn't get UVA in the first round. Or ever.
UVA would have probably held this year's Umass team to about 38 points

Re: 2020 Recruiting

Per FightMassachusetts.com on 247 Sports the Minutemen get their first commitment in 3* QB Brady Martin from Lawrence Academy. Nice, there will be five (5) QB's on the Fall 2019 roster who have yet to play a game at QB.... Like - never? Not even in HS? :P You gotta start someplace. I say with the n...

Re: State of the program

This may shape up like the Travis Ford situation did (assuming MM get's it together). Nobody was bitching when Ford won some games and had a good NIT run, but holy shit did the hatred spew when he left.... Many of you sounded like you got left at the altar or stiffed by your prom date. Just persona...

Re: State of the program

There is a very "personal tone" to a lot of the MM detractors complaints. That is where some of this seems to go off the rails. The team was a train wreck this season. Very disjointed... very inconsistent. The product on the court was painful to watch at times. NOBODY is arguing that. This may shape...

Re: State of the program

Maybe you three should just go into your own thread and you can all wax poetic about how awful McCall is and what the correct way of doing things is as a head coach. And maybe you should stop moronically suggesting nobody should be commenting on the "State of the Program" thread unless it is to bal...

Re: State of the program

MM has taken plenty of blame publicly for all of this mess. From the fans and from himself. Players should not be absolved of blame if they have earned it. IMO many of them mailed it in, did not give 100% effort, and or undermined the coach and team. I am not sure he is scapegoating either.... He is...

Re: State of the program

It's kind of funny [to me] that the amount of rope being given to different coaches and players varies greatly and with wild inconsistency. This Butterfield guy is new here so you get a pass to some degree.... I have no idea of what your opinion is regarding prior coaching jobs here. A lot of the co...
