Re: Game 32, 2019-20: VCU (3/12, A10 Rd 2)

$25 face value, but I went on StubHub this morning and there are a bunch of General Admission seats for $10 all in. The general admission is a fairly new policy that started last year, I believe, which is first come first serve seating except for the premium sections of the lower/courtside. But to b...

Re: KAEO: TJ Weeks

McCall said in the post game presser that TJ Weeks will be having surgery Friday and will be out for the season. He is "confident" he will be able to get a medical redshirt.

$3M in 1997 is like a $1B now. Back in my day you could buy a candy bar for a nickel. $3,000,000 of 1997 dollars would be worth: $4,477,611.94 in 2015 http://www.davemanuel.com/inflation-calculator.php The point is now the administration hopefully sees it as investment. 2.5mil +1mil bonues is more ...

Re: Candidates for 2017 UMass HC vacancy

Unless someone actually knows the truth, I think we can all speculate on any version that can be substituted for the truth that makes us feel good about Shrew being hired if he ends up being the guy. Correct me and fill in the blanks here - Shrew was interviewed earlier in the month, and put aside w...

Re: Candidates for 2017 UMass HC vacancy

Becker seems to be out now. Really slim pickings and a tight window with Dayton actively seeking coach for same price and arguably better job/fan base right now. Unless there's some magic that gets pulled out of his hat, Bamford may have a tough time satisfying the crowds here. Could just be forced ...

Re: Candidates for 2017 UMass HC vacancy

As was pointed out before, UMass has tried and lost with playing the "assistant" game. I'd say that takes Caputo out, and Shrewsbury seems to not even be a real contender anyway. Becker still gets some consideration, I think. Much easier move from Burlington to Amherst than say...Rock Hill...

Re: Hickman v Roe et al

Also found on the woman's facebook page dated 3/10 @ 2:38am:

"The only requirement was a sincere apology along side the truth. It's never too late until God requires your soul.

APOLOGIZE."

Coincidentally this was about 8 hours after DK was fired...

Re: Hickman v Roe et al

FWIW, a simple Google search yields another suit brought by this woman against a motel in Chicopee which was filed in Jan 2017. She seems to be involved in more than one legal situation.

Re: Game 32, 2016-17: Saint Joe's (3/8, A10 First Rd)

I believed that a win tonight would be harder than a win vs. Bona, and still feel that way. The team got shaky and dropped a huge lead, but we'll take the W. Good news is the team is loose, played on the floor already and no way will they repeat tonight's performance. I think we give a little paybac...

Re: Attendance vs. Wins

Sorry for the open questions - 1) Blue solid line is home attendance. 2) Green bars show total season wins (red bar when there was a coaching change) 3) The years reflect the season in which the season ENDED (e.g. the 2010-11 season would be "2011") 4) Dotted blue line is the 5 period mov...

Re: Game 32, 2016-17: Saint Joe's (3/8, A10 First Rd)

I sure do hate the 8 months of the offseason also. I do believe that if there will be a coaching change, it will be announced next week. Bamford is surely discussing the possible scenarios (if he has not already made a decision). To fire a coach before the game loss press conference is just cold and...

Attendance vs. Wins

Probably should have saved this for the offseason, but I was wondering how our home attendance has trended. I looked up the NCAA records and went back to 1989 through last year and plotted our home attendance vs. the # of wins we had that year. I also shaded when we had a coaching change (5 coaches ...

Re: 2017 A10 Tournament

I have to say, it would be so amazingly sweet to go on a run and beat URI, which will essentially knock them out of an at-large bid consideration. We've done that in the past to them, courtesy of a monster pick by Matt Glass and game winning layup by Mr. Chris Lowe. Wouldn't mind handing the Bonnies...
