Re: 2020 Recruiting

Yep, big Preston fan, as well. Coach B said on twitter Preston was arguably our second best player in conference play this year. I agree. Yet projected starting lineups on this board don't include him, which is curious. I like Dibaji, too, and think he'll definitely benefit from experience and cont...

Re: Game 29, 2019-20: at Richmond (2/29)

I'll be shocked - pleasantly - if we give ourselves a chance to win this game. Specifically, I'm not sure the freshmen will be prepared to defend their offense. Pierre's not a good defender either. Plus, their point guard is going to put a lot of pressure on our freshmen point guards. We'd have to g...

Re: 2019-20 season

Ya, there's been stuff on the internet (I know) about this. Some people are saying one thing, TheOFFSeason stated a different thing.

There does seem to be smoke.

Re: Game 23, 2019-20: at Rhode Island (2/4)

We held our own on the boards after the first few minutes. That wasn't the problem.

Discounting Pierre's irrelevant 3 toward the end, our guards shot 2/11 from three, with 18 points and 10 turnovers, while getting to the free throw line twice.

Looked like Tony was talking very animatedly with David Cox, and that Toppin kid was yapping. Not sure what it was all about.

I give credit to the team for fighting through this one. They didn't fold, and that's an improvement in itself.

Wish Tre got some help.

I'm tired of looking forward to next year, but it'll be really telling. Praying we land Femi.

Re: Tony Bergeron

Tony has done so much to get this program back. Bringing in solid talent and good ‘culture’ players. Tre Mitchell, TJ Weeks, Preston Santos, and Walker. I haven’t been this optimistic about the program in years. Agreed on all accounts, and I hope Bamford gives Tony every opportunity to return UMass...

Mentioned in the other thread, I saw Dyondre at the game. Looks like Chad Venning was also there.

Re: GAME 21, 1-29-20 St. Joseph's

Lots of talk on twitter about comps for Santos, including Scottie Pippen and Paul George, and who's going to be commissioned to build his statue outside the Mullins. He's been a force. Very nice game to attend. Saw Dyondre with a couple other guys I didn't immediately recognize. Next game will be ve...

Re: Game 20, 2019-20: Duquesne (1/25)

^I'd probably have the same starting five. We need a foundation of valuing the ball, rebounding, and winning 50/50 balls. Feel like Preston and Kolton can help set the tone I also keep telling myself I'm no longer going to drive to Amherst/watch games this season until something changes. I'm hopeles...

Re: 2019-20 season

Ya, good piece by Walfish.

Question for TheOFFSeason:

There was a lot of talk last year about getting guys from winning programs who do the little things, make winning plays and hold each other accountable. Why does that not seem to be translating?
