Re: 2020 Season
Honestly, what "leverage" did Bell have coming into this job that warranted automatic pay raise... Bell's contract is for $625k per year. If he got $628k maybe it was a bonus for reaching an academic goal or something. I remember Bamford talking on the Plant The Flag podcast about McCall'...

Re: 2020 Season
Coaches are on multi-year contracts, and they have enough leverage to not require incentives for modest increases. Most of us are not. That's why.dennisdent wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 4:26 pm How ridiculous is that he gets raises no matter how the team performs! In the "real world" we have EARN our raises...

Re: 2020 Season
Walfish (and I believe others) have already stated that we have games lined up with Army and FAU, just not announced yet.

Agreed. Punish the program, not the players.

Great point, especially with very limited attendance.TruBluMaroon wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 1:57 pm They should be looking for Tues-Weds-Thurs night games to add to the schedule. They can space them a week apart and get national games every time out!

Re: 2020 Season
I have to believe the AD wouldn't have made the announcement if he didn't have at least 2 or 3 games solidly lined up. It makes sense to hold off on a scheduling announcement until the full schedule is finalized, however many games that might be. It's not like season ticketholders need to make plan...

Re: KAEO: Carl Pierre
I think it's fair to say Carl didn't have the year we all hoped/thought he would, especially in A-10 play...but if a bad year is top 20 (ok 22) in the A-10 in scoring (including OOC) thats still a pretty damn good year and have to believe most payers would take as a "bad" year. There are ...

Re: 2019-20 season
UMass teams never finish strong. If they can find a way to win 2 of the final 3 that would be as good of a finish as I can remember, especially relative to talent/expectations.

Re: 2019-20 season
According to KenPom, Kolton has a higher turnover rate (32.2 vs 23.4) and lower assist rate (22.4 vs 34.5). East's assist rate is actually 32nd in the country. For context: Assist Rate (ARate): This is assists divided by the field goals made by the player’s teammates while he is on the court. Turnov...

Re: Game 2: 2/25 @ 1 PM @ #12 Ohio State
Trainor w/2 back to back isn the 4th ices it. Its a shame that they were sleep walking against Army. Army may be a top 5 team in the country. They destroyed #19 Rutgers 15-4 this past weekend. So, while we were terrible that game, maybe Army is really that good. They have only allowed 9 goals total...

Re: KAEO: Dibaji Walker
I want to give the Dibaji thread a little bump after last night's game. I think there's a strong argument to be made that he's the 2nd most talented guy on the team, especially with TJ out. His play has been very frustrating since he's really only produced in a meaningful way in 3-4 games. I said i...
