Re: OFFICIAL UMass references in Television, Film, etc. thread

Seth Meyers in one of his "Ya Burnt" segments, burns Zoom graduations, saying, "Look if I didn't want to wear pants to graduation, I would have gone to UMASS."

Re: UMass Disconnect

In 2009, UMASS engaged the services of Benz, Whaley, Flessner a Minneapolis based consulting firm specializing in Alumni relations, to "access the Alumni Association's efforts and outcomes in connecting to and engaging with the 226,000 graduates for a lifetime". Re: UMass Disconnect

Regarding the e-mail quoted by SignMan: "Thank you to all our alumni and friends who attended Homecoming, celebrated with us from afar, and pushed for excellence since the beginning. Through your dedication, we are now No. 24 among the 146 national public universities ranked in the U.S. News & World...

Re: UMass Disconnect

Re: Notre Dame Game

Just called the UMASS ticket office to order tickets. They wouldn't do it unless I made a $100 donation  So I called the Notre Dame ticket office (574-631-7356) and ordered there. According the Alumni Association the UMASS game sections are 114, 115, and 116. I got 2 tickets in the first row ...

UMASS Alum Dr Kathryn Lord is featured prominently in the Nova episode "Inside Animal Minds: Dogs and Super Senses". As a bonus, whenever her name is on screen, it says "University of Massachusetts" not "University of Massachusetts-Amherst".

Colbert did slip up once and refer to the school as "Amherst". The next evening Boston native and Harvard alum Lawrence O'Donnell got it right on "The Last Word" on MSNBC. He simply referred to us as "UMASS".

On a lighter note, I was at Bradley this weekend and saw t-shirts with the message "UCONN Football: Failure Is Not an Option". They were marked down 75%.
