Canadian pipeline coming through once again.
Pretty cool to see how much the football team has adopted the script U logo. Nearly every graphic they post has it.

Re: FIRE WALT BELL!
I understand the NCAA is pretty lax with the 15,000 attendance rule, but y'all I don't see how they'd grant waivers to three schools with football stadiums well below 15k in capacity. (UNH 11k, Maine 10k, URI 6.5k) In addition to those three, while Holy Cross meets the capacity requirements I don't...

Re: FIRE WALT BELL!
I still think that as FCS football continues to make less sense financially, more schools will be looking to make the move up. With that being said, UMass should be pushing to bring back a new (and improved) Yankee Conference as either a FBS football-only or an all-sports conference. In a perfect wo...

Re: Massachusetts Athletics Branding
Have to say, I'm very pleased with the new uniform reveals we've seen this year. Really a big fan of the "traditional" look of the football and basketball uniforms and feels like we are taking our place as the commonwealth's team. Hope they're here to stay. Basketball: https://twitter.com/...

Re: Massachusetts Athletics Branding
Agree we need a decision and consistency. A key part of branding is see a color make an association e.g. Tennessee orange, Carolina blue etc . The red tones make that association difficult since look like Harvard and BC. IMHO deep maroon is the color I as an alumnus associate with he University of ...

Re: Vote for Cale for the Hobey Baker
Trivia between Avalanche games.......Three schools have a student who has won the Hobey Baker award and a student who has won the Naismith Player of the Year award...HINT, it was two schools before last Friday.... Hmm.... - Massachusetts - Michigan - Notre Dame or Wisconsin, leaning towards Wisconsin

Also while I have a slight issue with airing out a lot of internal issues to the public, I have nothing but respect for Luwane. I wish his senior year went the way we all hoped it would.

Re: State of the program
From the brief segments I've listened to this podcast, it comes off to me as a lot of players that are mostly concerned about their own numbers/success rather than the team success. Maybe that stems from having so many transfers coming in, I don't know.

Those t-shirts are exactly what the bookstore should be selling for all of the sports teams. Love the use of "Massachusetts" over "UMass" as well.

With you 100% on this, however I do think the UMass-UCONN rivalry is way more compelling and natural than USF-UCONN.UMass'96 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 1:47 pm Not interested in going down the USF-UConn path....
